Park your car once and walk to all of downtown. \*\*\* Please Note: The elevator in the Quality Inn tower, which typically provides access from our parking lot to the main street level, is currently out of service. At this time, the only way to reach our building is via our driveway, which can be accessed by vehicle or on foot. It is in the middle, walking distance, from everything good in Gatlingburg. We went to a wood cabin located on the outskirts of gatlingburg and it was astonishing, beautiful, but we considered the pros and cons and we will rather get this apartment in the middle of the action; than a gorgeous cabin that needs a car to get to the action. \*\*\*extra amenity- we had a morning visitor (huge black bear) right outside the sliding door. This is the first year the outside elevator (which takes you down to street level), wasn’t working. But, the owner let us know that going in. Hopefully it will be repaired soon. We love staying here for comfort, cleanliness, privacy, and location. However, the elevator to street level is out of order and created an extreme hazard for walking to and from the condo. Even without a stroller and young children, the hill is just too steep and narrow to navigate safely on foot. We found ourselves changing our plans to account for going up and down that hill. The street level elevator is not owned by the Summit Manor condo, so repair is out of their control; this is a shame because the property is otherwise perfect. ##### Mallory E.
