As such it is important for potential guests to understand before making a reservation that mother nature and her loving family of flora and fauna may make their presence known including snakes, lizards, deer, bears, raccoons, spiders, ladybugs, wasps, bees, rabbits, excessive pollen, poison ivy/oak, chiggers, beetles, field mice, ants, cockroaches, squirrels, opossums, flies, walking sticks, coyotes, moths, and butterflies, just to name a few. And, although the cabin is on strict pest control and cleaning regimen our native flora and fauna may find a way to join you since you are visiting their habitat. • Pets: While we adore furry friends, our home isn't suitable for them. If a pet is found on the premises, a $200 fee will be charged, and we kindly ask you to leave with no refund. This policy is STRONGLY ENFORCED. Your understanding is greatly appreciated. • Absolutely NO SMOKING inside the cabin - NO EXCEPTIONS. If you choose to smoke on the deck, please refrain from discarding cigarette butts on the ground. Ensure the butt is fully extinguished and deposit them in the designated sand-filled pail or trash can before departure. If housekeeping or the groundskeeper needs to pick up discarded butts, a fee of $1 per butt will be charged. Evidence of smoking inside the cabin will result in a charge of $200 for deodorizing the home. This policy is STRONGLY ENFORCED. • Check-In/Out: The bed may be left unmade with sheets and pillowcases left on. Used towels/washcloths should be placed in the bathroom bathtub. All trash should be put in the outside garbage can. Close all windows. Make sure the door is locked before you leave. Check-in at 4:00 PM. Check-out at 10:00 AM. We charge $50 per hour for all requests for early check-in & late check-out, based on availability. Please note we may not be able to accommodate early check-ins/ late checkouts. Please bring your personal toiletries like toothpaste, deodorant, etc. Linens/Towels: Linens are provided, comforters/blankets, pillows, bath towels, wash cloths, hand towels, bath soap, 1 roll paper towels, 1 roll toilet paper per bathroom, and trash can liners. Don't forget to bring your favorite book to catch up on some reading! • All amenities are fully inspected prior to every check-in, however, we cannot guarantee their working condition during stays. If anything is under repair, we will immediately notify you and offer alternative accommodation or cancellation options. If an amenity or feature stops working during your stay but was reported working by our maintenance crew, we will attempt to repair the item but cannot guarantee the repair and no Airbnb refund will be made. • We do not offer rescheduled stays or refunds on cancellations outside of Airbnb's extenuating circumstances policy. We strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance at the time of booking if you are concerned about the possibility of canceling your trip last minute. Travel insurance is inexpensive and a great way to protect your funds in the event of an unforeseeable cancellation. We enjoyed the cabin and loved how close we were to downtown Gatlinburg. The area to park is a little inconvenient, being on a hill. The designated area to park is too tight for most vehicles. So you had to park at the bottom of the hill to avoid blocking ongoing construction that is happening next door. This was the only downside to the stay. You could see through the lower windows on both sides but had blocking curtains on the upper windows where nobody could look through. The water turn on valve for the shower is above the bathroom sink and there is an electric outlet right underneath it and the sink, very unsafe. The pest control barged into the room without knock, announcing himself. He could have gotten shot very easily. This home away from home is cozy and nestled in the middle of the Smokey Mountains. Wonderful weather and spectacular views of the mountains. Either because we were so close to town and still so secluded or because we didn't have three screaming kids, but this property fit the bill. I'm going with the seclusion on this one. On the end of a dead end road with no neighbors to speak of, you are nestled in a valley with all the amenities you are going to need for a destination getaway. The hot tub was on point after a long day of walking the strip and the quiet was perfect to allow for bears to wander near by (don't worry the doors lock). The only issue I had was that my hybrid struggled to make it up the road but it did, albeit at a turtles pace (I should have brought the SUV). I have saved this listing and will be using it again in the future. Man do I want to go back. ##### James S. When I contacted the owner she stated there was nothing she could do until Monday. At 9:30 on Saturday morning she offered to let me check out by 10:00 and get a refund. I said that wouldn't work bc there was nowhere else to stay in the area bc of a car show. I asked for a partial refund since the hot tub was the big draw to the cabin. CRICKETS...never heard another word, but I did get a couple auto-generated messages asking me if I was enjoying my stay. I thought I was being trolled.
