However, the roads are paved and in the winter, they are plowed to ensure utmost safety. If you are terribly uncomfortable with driving on mountains, we will miss getting to host you and recommend another property. BUT, if you can try it out, the National Park views and natural coziness are what make Gatlinburg the tried and true mountain destination. ☀ Do you need to bring your own linens? ➜ No, no and absolutely not! Our promise to our guests is to provide consistency and to us, consistency means ensuring essentials. We will provide sheets, towels, washcloths, etc so that you can fill your bags with more exciting things! ☀ Is the hot tub private and what is the situation with the pools? ➜ Fortunately, Deer Ridge Mountain Resort allows guests access to a shared pool/ hot tub area at the resort. Unfortunately, this does mean that neither the hot tub, nor the pool are private. We understand that privacy is sought after, but we hope the extra amenities will make up for it! ➜ There are two outdoor pools available to guests and both are within a short 8-10 minute drive of the resort. The outdoor pools; however, are only open from Memorial day to Labor day. The specific locations will be shared after booking! ☀ Will the condo be loud/ noisy? ➜ Because this property is part of a resort, it does mean you will have neighbors in other condos. While we always hope that these other guests will keep their volume to a reasonable minimum, we cannot guarantee it. The view of the mountains was beautiful. It was recently renovated, well decorated, clean, & it was well appointed with nice soaps, seasonings for cooking, a Keurig with pods, etc… We also liked the Bluetooth music capability thru the bathroom lighting- cool! The rooms are all small, but all of the space was utilized well. The bed was good, & our son said the pull out couch was even pretty comfy. Here are the only things we didn’t love: 1\. No black out curtains in the bedroom means we woke up with the sun. 2\. The only mirror in the unit was in the bathroom; it would have been nice to have one in the bedroom (perhaps on the back of the door) for one person to be getting ready, while another was in the bathroom. 3\. We could hear the upstairs neighbors walking around more than we we wished. One night they didn’t go to bed until after midnight, & they got up very early (6:30), so that really impacted our sleep. Other than these issues, we were very pleasantly surprised by this place, & we would definitely recommend it. ##### Lindsay H. Séjour de 3 nuits en mars 2021 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Roy K. 25 janv. 2021 Points forts : Propreté #### Beautiful Getaway in the Mountains My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time staying here over Christmas break. The lodge is in a secluded area about a twenty minute drive from downtown Gatlinburg, away from the hustle-and-bustle. I believe the unit was recently remodeled, and they did a great job with all the state-of-the-art appliances and furnishings. We especially liked the mood lighting in the bathroom! As others have mentioned, the view of the Smoky Mountains from the patio is majestic. We also appreciated that the kitchen was well stocked with items such as bottle openers and tea kettles. WiFi connection was fast, and check-in and check-out were straightforward. Overall it was a great experience, and we would gladly stay here again. ##### Roy K.
