I was disappointed in the following things: - It needs a new paint job on walls and doors...lots of paint chips on doors and scuffs on walls. - numerous dishes and coffee cups had pieces missing. It just doesn't feel right to eat or drink out of things when the things are ridged like that nor really safe.- the outside area where the creek is needs cleaning up...you actually had to walk all the way over to the creek to see it because there were so much weeds. - the shower in the bedroom to the left needs to be cleaned better. Listed as pet friendly but there was no grassy area to walk my pet. Only weeds in the yard. One chair and sofa need replaced. Could not get the dishwasher to work either. But the owner was very communicative with the dishwasher problem and I told him about my concern with the pet issue. Overall I would recommend this place to stay in Gatlingburg. ##### Nita B. We absolutely loved our stay at the Mountain House! It had everything we needed, hosts were great with communication, answered all our questions timely and were very friendly. The location is AMAZING! so close to everything but out of the way enough to feel like you are all alone. The creek that runs behind the house by the hot tub was so relaxing! Was my favorite part.
