Get away to nature, nestled atop a mountain, overlooking the ski resort! Reserve your spot to come relax and unwind in this Smoky Mountain getaway with some of the best views around! It is a romantic place to snuggle up with your sweetheart and also has a loft the kids will love. If you need a place to work while on a "flexcation" you have hi speed internet that is designated for this condo.
Few condo complexes on the mountain offer the fantastic mountain views that High Chalet Condos does. Walk around the grounds and see all the way to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge and Douglas Lake out near the interstate. Watch the skiers coming down the slopes and zip liners flying from one mountain top to another at Ober Mountain from our windows and balcony and enjoy the awesome views of Mt. LeConte!
Our condo is quite relaxing with comfy Lazy Boy rocker recliner and sofa also with recliners and a big screen TV in the living room and another flat screen 40in TV in the downstairs bedroom. This condo has a cabin feel with pine board walls and an elk theme. We also installed beautiful granite countertops. We are doing all we can to make this a special place for our guests so that they will want to visit time and time again. We have many "regulars" that book every year and consider this their Gatlinburg oasis!
Sit on the balcony first thing in the morning to enjoy a cup of coffee and the views of the clouds drifting through the mtns. Watch as wild life, (which often includes bears) roam through the complex and watch the chairlifts go up the mtn at Ober Mtn Ski Resort.
Enjoy the heated pool (between Memorial Day and Labor Day) or relax in a nice warm hot tub or sauna in the pool area year-round. Nestle into a comfy recliner to read a book or to surf the web, as you unwind from a day of sightseeing or shopping. The electric fireplace will lend a nice atmosphere for your evening.
The condo is very close to The Smoky Mountain National Park, where you can experience the beauty via an auto tour or by hiking one of the many trails to a waterfall, or to panoramic overlooks. Spend the day in Gatlinburg where you will find plenty shopping, dining, shows, museums, the Skybridge, Anakeesta and Ripley's Aquarium. Nearby Pigeon Forge hosts Dollywood Theme Park and splash park, outlet mall shopping, live shows, museums, helicopter tours and amusement go cart and mini golf fun for kids of all ages!
High Chalet Condos are in the Chalet Village area near the top of the mountain and they offer beautiful mountain views as you walk along the grounds. The condo is only about a mile down to Ober Mountain which offers year round family fun and it is a short 15 minute drive (just over 3 miles) to downtown Gatlinburg. Be aware that bears often cross the road so drive carefully. The road is one of two main roads up the mountain but is winding and steep at times so be sure to be alert when going up and down. You get used to it I promise, just stay on the main roads with yellow lines in the center. Once in the complex you will find parking near the entrance to the stairwell going up to our unit.
Check in is at 4pm and check out is at 10 am. There is a camera outside near the front door to document arrivals and departures. On time check in and check out gives our cleaning crew time to get things fresh and clean between guests. We aim to keep both our units nice and clean. We go above and beyond to make our condos the best vacation home our guests have ever had!
Also we go above and beyond to make sure our condo is as clean as possible, an electronic air purifier called I Wave is installed into our central ac ducts for extra protection for our guests. Unlike some owners, we have monthly pest control inspect for any and all insects. We use this condo as our own home at times throughout the year and are super careful to keep it nice and clean.

We enjoyed staying here. The place was decorated so cute and it had a cozy feeling to it. This was the first time staying up in the mountains and the veiws were amazing and beautiful! You could even catch people zip linning from the balcony. The pool and hot tub area was also extremely nice and we were able to meet some nice people that were also there visiting. Karen was always quick to reply with any questions. Thank you Karen! We would definitely come back to visit. Also the wild life there is very.. wild!

Cozy and comforting

Evryday when we got back from exploring qe could sit on the cozy couch or go on the balcony and just relax the beds were the best sleep of my life im so thankful they made it feel like home our daughter really loved the loft she felt close but had privacy and was very comforted thank you so much for allowing us to stay!!

Cute, clean mountain condo

The condo was very clean, cute and nicely kept up. Karen was great with communication and we had no problems at all. The porch was nice for sitting and reading in the mornings. Community was quiet and everyone we ran into friendly. We drove up and down the mountain every day and had no problems. Follow Karen’s directions and it is a curvy but easier drive. We accidentally went the other way one day and see what she means by the difficulty. Lol! We also saw some bears while we were there.

Such a great week in Gatlinburg!

We loved staying in the condo! It was a perfect little hideaway after a long day hiking in town. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to make breakfast, and plenty of hot water for showers after a long day. Definitely would stay again.

Spring Break Gatlinburg

We had a great stay! The cabin was perfect we had good views of the mountains (Ober mountain lift is visible from this condo) and we were close to downtown Gatlinburg. We throughly enjoyed our stay. Just know you will be driving up the mountain and back down follow Karen’s instructions and you’ll be fine. It gets easier the more you do it!

Just what we needed.

Spring break brought us to Gatlinburg with our teenage kids. This place was perfect! Parents had their own bedroom and the kids each had their own bed in the loft as their space. It was a perfect setup for our family of 4. The drive up the mountain was an adventure each time with marvelous views. We were able to catch the sunrise from the deck because we were on top of the mountain.It was very comfortable and home feeling. While our trip was not to sit inside the condo-it was perfect for when we were there for supper and provided a quiet and relaxing retreat at the end of the day adventures.

Just Amazing view

It was amazing. Really clean, spacious, and the view it was just beautiful. Really close of stores and Gatlinburg . We saw from the balcony the ober mountain too. You can watch the sunrise from the bedroom if you let the curtains open. It wasn’t snowing in other part of Gatlinburg but here it snow since is high and its more possibility of snowing. We just love it.

Amazing place to stay

The drive up is amazing. We have stayed at a few places on this road. We got to the place and walked in it's beautiful. It's a little smaller than pictures make it seem. It was me, my husband and 19 year old son. It's perfect for family with little kids. But if it's a couple and older kid or 3 friends idk if I would stay here just because with the open loft it's not much privacy. Especially if you have someone that wants to nap during the day. Aside from that everything else was great. Awesome views from the balcony. I would say if you stay in December think about doing anything when it's not dark out. We tried to go ice skating at Ober but it was dark and we couldn't drive through the clouds. You literally couldn't see right in front of you. We almost drove off the side of the road trying to turn around to go back. It was scary. But Karen was great to communicate with. I give it 5 stars

Got engaged at this property!

The condo was cozy/clean. We had been to another condo on the other side a year prior, so we already knew the view would be beautiful. Only difference in this property is you see more of Ober Mountain and the other surrounding buildings. The unit had everything we needed, and my boyfriend of 6 years proposed to me here !

Thanksgiving Getaway

We highly enjoyed our stay over Thanksgiving! The condo was beautiful, cozy, and just as described. I will say we were a little confused by the hosts directions so we followed GPS the first night and the drive was SCARY. We were also in the dark (which the host does not recommend doing the first time but we had no choice). After daylight and finding the better way up and down the mountain it was much better (although still windy, steep, and narrow along the way). We saw snow and a black bear! Thanks for the stay!

My 40th Birthday Trip

Drove down from MI. TN is my "happy place," as I grew up there so I wanted to spend my milestone birthday there. I had never done Vrbo before; however, I am thankful that I did. The website was easy to navigate and I got to stay in this gem. Prior to arrival, Karen was amazing at communicating how to get to the rental as well as many other helpful tips via email. The day of arrival, my check engine light came on so I got there extremely late. The next day, Karen actually helped us with some much needed tools :) The rental was beautiful and the pictures did not give it justice. Overall, I had an amazing time and will definitely look for this rental again, when I come back!! Karen was an amazing host!

Nice Views

Very nice views from the deck. The deck is in front of someone else’s sliding door which is kind of awkward, but there’s a sign saying they don’t use it. The condo was pretty clean for the most part but there is some slight stains on the arm of the couch and dust on the light fixtures. Could use an update to the carpet, bedding, and furniture, but it’s still a cozy, comfortable spot. The only issue we really encountered was the towels. I think they were new, but must’ve been really cheap because we were both covered with white fuzz after using them the first time. We actually went and purchased our own towels to use for the remainder of the stay. It’s at the top of the mountain, so be prepared for the drive, but it pays off with the views.

Great stay!

My husband and I plus our two adult daughters rented this condo for the weekend, mostly to get away from the Gatlinburg crowd, have a kitchen to prepare our own food and to see bears, and this did not disappoint! The chalet is up a ski mountain with a two lane road and lots of winding curves, so take your time going up and down. GPS will take you straight to the condo with no issues. Watch for bears along your drive because we saw them right at the edge of the road (and in a tree right by the roadway). This condo was the perfect size, and although we typically choose a condo with a king bed, after long days of hiking, we slept soundly in a queen. The condo has a view of the mountains, and there is a patio to sip your morning coffee. We were provided 3 rolls of toilet paper, hand soap, dishwashing pods and 4 towels each (there were some extra under the sink). There were also extra blankets upstairs and down. (the AC works so well that I had to turn the AC down from my typical 68 to 70 instead.) . There are plenty of dishes, pots and pans. If you plan on cooking, pick up some salt and pepper at the store, because we couldn't find any. There's a regular coffee maker and a Keurig. We enjoyed the hot tub at night. The uncovered was hotter than the covered, but the jets didn't work in that one at the time of our visit. The pool was nice and large and there was a sauna as well. Karen answered quickly when we had any questions. We would definitely stay here again.

Cozy condo in the mountains—worth it!

My family enjoyed this cozy condo for the few days we got to experience mountain life! Prone to always vacation near a beach; this home was a nice change. The host is amazing and always answered whatever questions we had. My children both loved having their own space and my son loved the winding stairs. I would recommend going to Food City over the closer markets as they were very expensive. It was a perfect stay. Thank you Karen for doing such an amazing job with this property.
