Historic home in Clayton. This home was originally the town bank. Just one block to the mighty Mississippi River, public boat launch, The Lighthouse and Bill's Bar and Grill! Two bedroom, two bathroom home. With wonderful views of the Mississippi River. Bluffs are perfect for leaf looking! This beautiful river getaway was once the Clayton Savings Bank. The original bank was built in 1914 and remodeled into this great Mississippi River home in the last 20 years. The original charm of the bank can still be seen today - large arched windows, high ceilings, original wood floors, burglar alarm and original safe door just to name a few! In the new addition of the home you will find two ensuite bedrooms. One on the main level and one on the second level. From the second level bonus room you have one of the best views of the Mississippi in all of Clayton. Two additional trundle beds in the bonus room. Contacted host with no reply. Very beautiful home and very clean tho. Plenty of room for all of us to sleep and nice open areas for games & late night chats plus a large kitchen so we didn't have to eat out. The train does come through close several times a night, but by the 2nd night you get more used to it.
