A perfect base for exploring Galway. Our apartment is just a few minutes walk to all the pubs, restaurants, cafes, and shops, and the train station is within a five minute walk. There is no parking available with this property due to it's central location. If you require parking, please do reach out to us a few days before you arrive and we can send you information on the best local parking options for your stay. The Space: Our place is one of Four apartments in the same building, side by side, so if you have a larger group please contact us and we can check on the availability of the neighbouring apartments. We like to think of this apartment as the ‘captains quarters’ due to it’s gold tones, foam green sofas, wood effect kitchen cabinetry, and black/grey wood flooring and wall colour. Quite strong in character but very comfortable and welcoming. The apartment is over two levels. Striking lime, grey, and black carpet greet you immediately as you walk up the stairs to the first level and you know that you are walking into a stylish apartment. The living room is open plan to the kitchen and dining area, a great gathering space and has water views. Green velvet sofas offering comfortable seating, coffee table and a large flat screen Smart Tv which gives you access to your Netflix account is great for watching a movie or planning your Irish adventure. Or why not chill out on our window seat with a good book, maybe a glass of vino, and take in the harbour activity. If you need to catch up on some emails our dining bench with leather stools give you the added convenience of wall built in USB ports, and you can even take in the view of the harbour while you work. Another gorgeous feature of this water view apartment is the wood grain and gloss kitchen mix. Very unique design. It is fully equipped with all major appliances, washing machine with built in dryer, integrated fridge freezer, and all the dishes and cookware you’ll need for your stay. On this floor is the first bedroom with double bed and built in wardrobes. On the second floor there is a main bathroom with a walk in shower finished in modern style and accessories. Two more bedrooms are on this floor including the master with ensuite bathroom with walk in shower and water view. All of our bedrooms have luggage racks for your convenience. BED Configuration: 1st Floor: Bedroom 1: 1 Double ( 4ft 6) 2nd Floor: Bedroom 2: 1 King ( 5ft 6) 1 Single (3ft 6) Bedroom 3: 1 King (5ft 6) with ensuite bathroom (Master bedroom) The harbour area of Galway city is a perfect base for exploring Galway. The apartment is less than 3 minutes walk to all the pubs, restaurants, cafes, and shops. You couldn't be in a better place, everything is on your doorstep! A stable internet connection is available which makes it perfect for those who work from home. Apex - Peace Of Mind: This property uses the Apex Accommodation Peace of Mind Checklist, which follows cleaning and disinfection guidelines provided by the CDC, EPA, and World Health Organization. All of our properties are cleaned thoroughly, and we disinfect our bathrooms, kitchens, and major touchpoints like light switches, doorknobs, table tops, electronics, appliances, lock boxes/digital keypads, and control panels. We provide linens, towels, a starter supply of cleaning products, shampoo, soap, dishwasher tabs and laundry tabs. Other things to note: We prefer the minimum age to be 25+ unless travelling with family. We do not rent to locals. There is a set of stairs leading from the street level to the courtyard and another set of steps up to the apartment. CCTV is present in the common area and courtyard \*\*NOISE Sensitive Property - Strictly Quiet Hours Between 10pm And 8am\*\*. This building is equipped with a non recording noise monitor which is set to acceptable thresholds for conversation during 10pm and 8am. Excessive noise alerts will be treated as a violation. If we are contacted by the management company or neighbours about a disturbance this will result in a total loss of security deposit and an early termination of your rental agreement. Guest Access: Guests have access to all areas of the home except for a few locked closets, which we kindly ask you to respect. The Neighbourhood: The harbour area of Galway city is a perfect base for exploring Galway. It is just a few minutes to all the pubs, restaurants, cafes, and shops. You couldn't be in a better place, everything is on your doorstep! Getting Around: We are close to the train and coach station. Unfortunately, only one shower was working (and even that was only kind of) during the stay… the two washrooms and two showers were non negotiable for us when choosing accommodations as we were travelling with our young adult children and had many early morning departure tour plans. They did inform us they replaced the hot water tank on the first day once we reported the water problems but unfortunately it did fix the issue. They have everything in the apartment on efficiency switches etc… if you’re unfamiliar with how they work it could prove a little tricky, I had to google a couple times how to have things turned on properly. Maybe a how to use guide would be helpful in the unit. All, in all… Comfy beds, loved the little window nook in the main area. The location is exceptional - a short walk to the center of everything in Galway. The view of the harbor is very cool. The neighborhood is quiet. We were on a tour of Ireland and had baggage. There are three flights of stairs to enter the first floor. Both bathrooms and two of the bedrooms are an additional flight up. That would have been a deal breaker for us had it been explained in the listing. I believe they have recently updated the listing to explain the stairs. Beds were comfy and appliances (washer/dryer etc) were very convenient I really like this unit! Cons: there were several things NOT disclosed until the day before arrival. There is some kind of "noise ordinance" in place after 9pm and there are noise sensors installed in the unit that trigger if anything above "conversation levels" are detected and you can be fined There is no street parking, you must use a parking structure at €22/day Four flights of stairs from the street to the bedroom so if you have large luggage better bring a back brace You can only contact the agency handling the unit, Apex, for any issues. Laundry detergent was supposed to be provided and I contacted Apex who told me they would bring it.. never happened. The apartment is well-stocked in the bathrooms and kitchen. We were happy to see the coffee pods and cream in the fridge, and there is a convenience store across the street where we bought small breakfast items. Plenty of space, great wifi, amazing location, well stocked. We loved looking out at the port and watching the activity, and it was not loud at all.
