Our apartment is located on the corner between the Claddagh Harbour and the City Centre docklands. Seconds away from the most photographed street in Galway City where you will find the Galway street’s come alive with buskers, restaurants and some fantastic nightlife venues. This two bedroom, two bathroom apartment is tastefully decorated with a combination of urban chic and modern comforts. Free & secure parking is available for 1 vehicle in a gated parking complex. The Space: With water views of the Claddagh harbour you will enjoy a relaxing and quiet stay whilst also being a 3 minute walk to the famous Latin Quarter and Shop Street. Ideally Guests should be over the age of 25 years of age unless travelling with family. Under 25s may make an inquiry with us to discuss if this property is suitable for their stay. The Space: Ideal for families, couples, and friends groups. There is a secure car park nearby and one car space is provided for your stay. If additional parking is needed we can provide information on additional parking complexes within the area. The master bedroom has a king size bed with an ensuite equipped with an electric shower. The second bedroom is a twin room with two single beds. There is s hared bathroom is located on the hallway with spacious rainfall shower . There is a washer/dryer combo within the apartment so you can comfortably look after your laundry during your stay. For stays over 7 days we provide a mid stay clean with linen change and cleaning service, which is charged in addition to the accommodation costs. Plenty of space with comfortable beds and linens. Issues annoying but nothing disqualifying Less than great: Instructions were sometimes confusing (I have many rental experiences, have dealt with every level of owner communication; I'd give this one a grade of C. This is partly due to owner telling us to refer to binder in unit that was nowhere to be found - we searched thoroughly). Don't plan on doing laundry. Listing includes a combo washer / dryer that is incredibly noisy and doesn't dry no matter how long you run it. Owner sent someone to "fix it" and said "put fewer things in it." We had 2 pants and one shirt in it. Fewer meaning 1 item? Cold shower - the large bathroom with walk in shower ran only cold water. The tiny shower in master bedroom had heating unit that worked fine so we used that one. About the size of a cruise ship shower while the one that didn't have hot water was big and modern. Other little things: Parking is opposite side of large complex about 7 minute walk for me; Glad it wasn't raining). Instructions to it were confusing but I figured it out. Internet code stuff was confusing (instructions on internet box in unit and password on router all different than what came in a long text message from owner). Light switches made no sense - 2 days and never figured them out and one lamp in living room could only be turned off by unplugging it. ##### Matt S. Our arrival was late in the evening so we wanted to go to bed right away. The king bed collapsed beneath upon just sitting on it. I reported to the manager immediately and after 16hrs, and a sleepless night, there was still no reply. I sent an urgent message and finally got a response. Also the hot water did not work in the main bathroom so three of us had to share the tiny en suite. The bed did get fixed but the shower never ended up working. After being up and traveling for over 30 hours a shower was in order. The main bath shower drain was clogged and flooded the bathroom. Called host, "Jown" who said she would call after hours plumber and replace the soaked towels. Next day another flood so called host again. Also, a roiving band of noisy, drunken teenagers hanging around the apartment. One threw a vodka bottle against the front door. I cleaned up the broken glass. Reported same to Jown who, wanting to accommodate us, said she would process a refund for our stay. That was a month ago, no refund, and repeated emails with Vrbo only advise they are working on "rectifying the situation." This means what? Thus, I do not recommend this property or VRBO. ##### William C. It was exactly as advertised. The kitchen cabinets were mostly empty (only the barest essentials provided). We did have a problem getting into the property because the instructions were sent to us while we were travelling to Galway with no access to the Internet or WiFi. Wish we had got them the previous day or even earlier. The second night we were there, a very large and noisy party was going on across the water, which made sleeping very difficult. Also the battery in the smoke alarm needed to be changed, so it beeped all night long. Because another party was obviously going to take place on the third night we were booked for (we could see the people gathering by mid-afternoon), we left the apartment early and returned to Dublin. All I’ve written here sounds like a lot of complaints, but really the noisy party wasn’t the owner’s fault, and smoke alarms do tend to demand new batteries at the most inconvenient times. Sinead took care of the battery situation as soon as we called her in the morning, but there was nothing she could do about the impending party. ##### Helen M. The place is in an amazing location right at the end of the long walk and very close to the Latin quarter. The beds were comfortable the and spot is very cute inside. The only issues we had with the property was that the front door was very hard to lock. You had to line up the door perfectly in order for it to lock and it sometimes took us awhile to get closed. It also was a bit of a pain to have to take our own garbage to a different building. We were leaving extremely early for a flight and the door to the garbage area was locked and the code they gave us didn’t work. If we’ve ever had to dispose of our own garbage before at a self catering unit the place to leave it was either just outside or we just left the garbage in the bins in the place for a cleaner. It might be a good idea in future to not have your guests take their garbage to another building. Otherwise we did really enjoy our stay and for the location alone we would consider it again. ##### Stefani D. The subsequent communication with the owner or the agency was difficult. My emails were not answered at all or only partially. I did not receive the check-in information at all and we stood in front of the flat on the day of arrival and could not reach anyone at the telephone numbers provided. Thank God Jown contacted me via Whatsapp and we got all the necessary information. I don't understand why the emails from the agency didn't reach me. The last email contact regarding the payment information in mid-April still worked... The flat is very spacious and looks like in the pictures, maybe not so new.... We did not dare to sleep at night with the windows open, it is very noisy and in the neighbourhood young people meet to hang out.... For us, the locked parking space was very important and the central location. It's a quick walk to the centre of Galway and there are lots of great restaurants and pubs. The flat is also a good location for exploring the area. ##### Astrid K. The boost on the hot water feature doesn’t seem to work. Dryer does not dry clothes all the way. Always left damp. I guess that’s the way it is in Ireland. Nice place for runners/walkers because close to the Prom. The first night We did have an issue with a large group of kids drinking right out front, throwing bottles & urinating. The Garda showed up and the kids dispersed and did not return. Modern, well decorated and clean. The master bath needs updating. Owners were quick to answer a text concerning two bathroom issues. The property is very nicely decorated and the beds were very comfortable. We had to ask a few teenagers to please go elsewhere... they were hanging around under our window...they complied. The view of Galway Bay from the LR is beautiful. Only issue is that the company were not very quick in answering my texts regarding getting into the condo. We were staying in Dublin beforehand and were leaving the U.S. 6 days before our trip to Galway. We needed to get the info before we left the U.S. I ended up calling VRBO and they took care of the issue. Great location and very nice! ##### Christine S.
