RESORT
Pointe West is a fabulous resort community at the end of Galveston Island where the beaches are big & beautiful. Residents enjoy two resort style swimming pools, a fitness center, restaurant, game room, gift shop, and numerous social activities throughout the year. A short golf cart ride to San Louis Pass beach and many fishing spots.

***Please note that you will need to obtain a wristband and access code from the Beach Club to take full advantage of the resort facilities (pools, gym, clubhouse game room, restaurant and bar). They charge $25 per guest 4 years old and older for the entire length of your stay. This fee will be paid directly to the club upon registration. *** (Due to Covid, you will receive an email from the Pointe West POA to prepay for your wristbands. The primary guest on your reservation will show an ID at the Beach Club Office to pick up the wristbands.)

• “Sippin’ on Sunshine” will be serving all day! Plans are to begin with a Brunch/Lunch/Dinner menu and possibly expand to breakfast service.

The pools and hot tubs are open 365 days a year (unless under Maintenace - please call club ahead of your stay to confirm)! That is what makes this resort unique. The Lazy River Pool will be heated in winter months.

Sea Mist Gift Shop: The gift shop at Pointe West Beach Club has beach toys, goggles, toiletries and basics as well as tons of great Beach Fashion, home decor and accessories at great prices. They have water, chips, and ice cream for $1! Please stop by and say “Hi” to Alice and see all of the treasures packed into her tiny shop. If you forgot something, she probably has it! The Gift Shop is open 7 days a week during the Summer and Friday-Sunday during the mid season and closes for winter.

Our stay here was fantastic! We had six adults, three children, and a baby and we had plenty of room and were very comfortable. The house came stocked with all the cookware, dishes, drink ware you could need and then some! The location is excellent for those that want to spend their days on the beach, and one that was surprisingly not busy for the middle of July! We would be ecstatic to stay here again in the future!

Beautiful but bring your soap!

The house was beautiful and in a great spot in the community. Easy walk down the street to the beach. Community pools are also great. Just a heads up, you need to bring your own shampoo/ Cond./ and body soap to this property.

Very nice stay! This was our second stay at this beautiful and comfy beach home. Everything is well kept and in working order. Cleanliness is my number one criteria for booking and this one has met my standards twice! Ample space and great layout of the house. The beds were very comfortable. Despite the rainy day and change in plans we were able to lounge and play games and wait out the passing storms in a great home. We enjoyed dinner two nights on the very spacious back deck. We would definitely book this one again!

Beach Day!

Kids wanted a beach day and I was blessed with this home last minute. Aside from a 15 minute housekeeping delay during check in, the check in process was perfect. The house itself was clean, peaceful, stocked with kitchen basics, provided plenty of games / entertainment for kids and “move in ready.” Johnson was responsive within minutes for questions, which made our stay with 8 kids so much easier and relaxing than it sounds. Such a beautiful home for a beautiful beach stay!

Wife’s Bday Wknd Break

Overall, it’s was a great weekend break for myself and family. The property is beautiful, very clean, and located in a quiet neighborhood. Also, the beach ramp/cross over is only short distant walk from the house. THE Place to Stay

We've stayed here twice now and still haven't explored everything offered. We had a party of 9 adults and one infant. The hosts had everything we needed and wanted: comfortable beds for everyone, three porches, each with its amenities, such as rocking chairs, cushioned chairs with ottomans, and a picnic table. The kitchen had all the pots, pans, silverware, coffee pot, cups, and glasses needed for cooking and drinking. The spacious kitchen bar and dining table were perfect for dining. The living area was where we all gathered most of the time to visit. When we needed alone time, there were plenty of separate quarters for everyone (the chaise lounge by the windows in the upstairs master bedroom was my favorite!). We still haven't enjoyed the hammock or the charcoal grill. Maybe next time. Beach access is two houses away, across the street. It's a short boardwalk to a beautiful white sand beach (there is no ramp, just stairs). The hosts had an all-terrain stroller and playpen for the baby. Everything was perfect! Thank you so very much :)

Beautiful House

We enjoyed our stay very much and had a great time. The house is extremely clean and very spacious. The views and surroundings are fantastic. The only downside was that there was a lot of construction work on the surrounding properties with some noise on daytime.

The Purple Pearl is a Must Stay!

The photos of the property are great, but they don't even begin to do the Purple Pearl justice! The house is spectacular and so spacious we got lost in it. We were here for the long weekend and didn't experience everything the house had to offer. We saw beautiful orange and pink sunsets from the front balcony in the late afternoon as we rocked in the rocking chairs; all the balconies caught the sea breeze, and the kitchen was fully stocked (and organized!). The bedrooms were beyond comfortable, and one of the adults even opted for one of the spacious bunk beds. The showers in the Master bedrooms were gorgeous with good water pressure. The hallway tub/shower combo bathroom was perfect for the rest of the family. The 1/2 bath off the kitchen was very convenient. Our 6-year-old thoroughly enjoyed her "treasure hunt" when she opened the closet door that held the games and toys; she was thrilled when she found the kite and the Barbie truck downstairs in the garage to take to the beach (thank you, by the way!). She was amazed that toys were provided just for the children :). The adults were surprised by the beauty and comfort of the house (and the bottle of champagne and the chocolate wafers that welcomed us). My daughter loved the house and the neighborhood so much that she started looking for homes for sale. To sum it up, we love this place and the hosts and didn't want to leave!

Great for families or friends

The house was stunning. It is very well furnished, with comfortable mattresses, a stocked kitchen, beach toys and chairs, Sonos and more. Our 3 kids loved the oversized bunk beds. The two primary bedrooms were huge with big bathrooms. Wifi was fast. The walk to the beach was very short, shorter than I thought it would be after looking on Google Maps. We used the host's wagon and made the trip multiple times with no complaints from the kids. It wasn't very windy when we went, but the Shibumi shade still worked perfectly and provided great shade without having to lug a heavy tent. We had no trouble accessing the beach club. Our passes were waiting for us in a lock-box for after hours pick up. Johnson and Courtney were great and very helpful. We didn't need anything during our stay, but they still checked in prior to and multiple times during our stay to make sure we were ok. Overall we were very impressed and definitely recommend the Purple Pearl.

Tranquil stay in fantastic location on Galveston Island’s west end

The property and hosts are amazing! The house itself is spacious, in a perfect location walking distance from the beach. The outdoor decks provide views of both the beach and bay sides, and are close to the pool facilities at Pointe West. The property is in pristine condition, and is fully furnished. Air conditioning and Wi-Fi are in full working order, and the living areas allow everyone room to spread out. We can absolutely recommend this property for your next stay!

Annual family mini vacation

This home was beautiful, very organized, and clean. I love how every drawer and cabinets were labeled where things belong. Everything we needed was provided. We loved the private beach, no crowds. We loved the choice of 2 pool areas in the community. The owners communicated with me, checking if we needed anything. We would definitely stay here again! One friend already asked for the info for their next vacation.

This property is BEAUTIFUL!!! Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Purple Pearl! It is exactly as the photos and even better in person. The place is CLEAN which rates very high in my book for staying overnight at a beach house. The place is spacious, enough room for family to convene in together spaces or individuals to have some quiet time on one of the decks or family room spaces. We had two toddlers with us and they played so comfortably and we could tell they enjoyed this home too! The owners were super easy to work with with with great communication, friendly and accommodating. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking - they thought of everything! The beach is a much shorter walk than it appears in the photos, too! We rented a golf cart to get to the pools and also to the beach part where we could drive on and it was so much fun! 10/10 recommend to families looking for a fun family vacation!

Family Vacay at Purple Pearl

My whole family enjoyed our stay at The Purple Pearl. The rooms perfectly accommodated 3 couples and 4 kids. The kitchen was well-equipped and the beach closet had everything we needed. It is a very short stroll to the beach, but we enjoyed renting some golf carts to zip around to the pools. We would love to stay here again!

Great place for multi-generation family vacation

Everything about the house met our expectations! We took our kids and grandkids and had perfect amount of space upstairs for them and great second master bedroom and on-suite on first floor for us (grandparents) for some privacy. The kitchen was great and we cooked all our meals there. Local convenience/grocery stores in reasonable distance to get frozen food and last minute items. The Large toy closet was a hit with our grandchildren that were ages 4 and under and kept them completely entertained during the times we were indoors. Location to beach (walking) and pools (driving) was easy to get too. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Would definitely consider staying there again.
