The location is absolutely unbeatable — steps from a quiet, car-free stretch of beach!The layout is great too — we loved the master suite being upstairs, where you can pretend you’re a sea captain surveying your domain… if only the deck chairs didn’t sit approximately two inches off the ground. Seriously, I’ve had more elevation on a yoga mat.Favorite part for adults and children - the outside shower has hot water! Everyone loved leaving the sand downstairs, cleaning up and heading inside for the evening. I don’t even know if we used an inside shower during our stay. That said, the house has seen some things. Everything has a generous coating of rust (I get it’s a beach house and things rust but the door knobs, the fridge, the oven, the showers…), like it’s been slowly auditioning to become part of a shipwreck. No beach chairs were provided, so bring your own unless you enjoy sitting directly in sand like an overgrown toddler.And the beds… let’s just say if you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to sleep on a pile of springs wrapped in a polite suggestion of fabric, this is your chance.All in all: location 10/10\. Comfort 3/10\. Would I come back? Eh… I’d definitely pack a chair and a mattress topper if you plan to book.
