There’s space for eight people across three bedrooms and an expansive deck reaching out over the water providing tons of elevated outdoor space for lounging, dining, or fishing. A shaded space under the home has a charcoal grill and boat dock alongside a Cowboy soaking pool and fire pit. The Crab Shack is a quick drive away from the beach, grocery stores, and west end restaurants. ● WINTER TEXAN RATE: Escape to the Texas Gulf Coast this winter! Ask about our reduced monthly rates October 1 - March 1\. ● Location: Jamaica Beach community of Galveston, Texas ● Beach Access: Just a two-minute drive from the Jamaica Beach access point. Cars and golf carts are allowed to park on the beach. ● Private Pool: We have a Cowboy soaking pool on the ground level that can comfortably fit up to 8 people when it\`s time to relax and cool off. ● Community Amenities: Guests have access to the Jamaica Beach community pool for a fee — open Memorial Day - Labor Day — and city park. ● Rent BeachBox: Beach gear rentals are available! Ask us for details and rates. ● WIFI/Cable: We provide free high-speed WIFI and Roku with access to Sling TV for live television channels. Guests are welcome to log into their own streaming service apps. ● Pet Policy: 2 pets are allowed with a $25 fee per pet. Please keep pets off furniture, clean up after them outside, and crate them if left alone indoors. ● Parking: We can fit up to 3 cars using both the carport and the driveway. The Crab Shack has a fully fenced yard, perfect for pets and kids. Outside, an expansive deck space spans out over the boat dock and the canal below. Host a family dinner at the alfresco dining space, while a pastel pink sunset lights up the sky above you. Walking into the home, the open and airy living space has a stylish mid-century style with tons of natural light. There’s a fully stocked kitchen and ample seating for everyone between the stools at the bar and the dining table. A full bathroom off the living space has a cabin-like vibe, with knotty pine walls, a clean white vanity, and a tub/shower combo. Off the living area, a fun bunk room has a twin-over-twin bed and a queen-size bed. Up the spiral staircase, you’ll find two more bedrooms and a half bath. The first bedroom has a king-size bed and access to a third-floor balcony overlooking the full deck below and the canal. The second bedroom also has a king-size bed and looks out over the quiet neighborhood. On the ground level, there’s a laundry room complete with washer/dryer. There’s also a game room to get some shade or catch the game on TV while enjoying the outside space. A covered boat dock makes the perfect spot for a leisurely afternoon of fishing— or launching kayaks into the canal. The barbeque area is shady and cool, complete with a Cowboy soaking pool and an outdoor shower which is an absolute must after a day at the beach or pool. This super-charming, bohemian retreat is the perfect home base for a getaway to the Texas coast. ● Cancellation Policy: All cancellations are subject to a 3% credit card processing fee. ● Party Policy: No parties are allowed at our home. House Rules: \- Guests must be 24+ to book the property. \- One-night stays must be approved. \- Groups larger than 6 need to be approved. We do not allow parties. \- Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am. \- Any damages to the house or property during your stay will result in a deduction or additional charge for the resulting repair/replacement cost. \- All pets must be approved by our team, stay off of all furniture, be cleaned up after in the yard, and not left alone inside the home unless in a kennel. \- No parking allowed on lawns, yards, empty grass lots or other neighbors’ driveways, even if their home appears unoccupied. \- Oversized vehicles/trailers are not permitted unless explicit approval has been received from our team. \- Do not turn the AC below 70 degrees. If you do, you will risk the AC unit freezing up, requiring it to thaw out which will result in the home getting extremely warm. \- No jumping or diving into the water. \- This community only allows BLACK TRASH BAGS. We provide trash bags under the kitchen sink. Home was clean, kitchen was well-stocked. Communication with the host was easy and she graciously answered any questions or concerns. The location was perfect. My teenagers enjoyed fishing off the back boat deck. We were blessed with great weather and able to enjoy the spacious deck (no mosquitos during our stay). Séjour de 2 nuits en juillet 2025 ### 2/10 – Terrible #### Kathy H. 12 juill. 2025 Points faibles : Propreté Positive comments: cowboy pool is amazing! Convenient location. Quiet area. Spent time with familyNegative comments: This place should be called The CRAP Shack, not The Crab Shack. It smells horrible of mold and mildew. Had to wash everything I brought just to get smell out of it once I got home. Beds are terrible. Bathrooms are falling apart. Nothing like the photos. No lounge chairs on deck. Kitchen stove burners were all lopsided and tilted. Downstairs was gross. I was alerted an hour before check in time that the cleaners were “running late due to traffic”. Promised completion by 5:00pm. (Check in is 4pm). Didn’t actually get the message until I pulled into property. Sat and waited for cleaners. They didn’t finish until way after 5pm. Poop stains on couch that I pointed out for them to clean. Had we not driven so far, we would have turned around and gone home. The place is disgusting. I will say, they did issue me a less than fair tiny refund and extended check out time for the cleaners being late. But I will never stay here again. It’s old, in much need of repair and upgrade. The bedroom on the main floor sleeps 4 and there is no place to put luggage or move around. Save your money and find another place. The pictures were deceiving as the furniture was older and stained. The back ladder for the bay is broken so the kids could not get in and swim which was disappointing for them. The car port ceiling had multiple leaks with mold growing outside of the paneling. Roof is missing many shingles. The mold is the biggest issue with this house. The kitchen also had some sticky cabinets. The upstairs bedroom tv was not working. The house was cozy and worked for the couple nights we stayed but could definitely use some updating and TLC. The mold is the most concerning issue. ##### Desiree S. One thing that really bothered us was in the bedroom our 2 year old was staying in we found an open full bottle of someone’s tobacco spit spilled under the bed so we are just glad we found that and were able to clean it up before our 2 year old found it. Besides that is was clean for the most part. 2 bedrooms were upstairs and the kids bedroom is downstairs by the front door so we had to do rearranging so that they wouldn’t be by the front door by theirselves but then also the stairs to the third floor are very small and steep and dangerous for children and elderly to have to keep going up and down. The downstairs game room smells like mildew/ mold from water damage and all throughout the house, the ceiling was leaking in spots when it rained. ##### Dustin H. We didn’t try the cowboy pool. Caught a few catfish which was nice. The spiral case/ladder is not for elderly or have bad knees if you want access to top 2 queen rooms.
