Nestled in a quiet neighborhood about two blocks from Offatts Bayou and less than two miles from the water-infused fun at Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark, you won't have to go far for adventure. Fly down the water slides or enjoy the wave pool before heading over to the Moody Gardens to learn about the local marine life. Take the quick walk to the water and paddle out into West Bay on a kayak or stand-up paddleboard for a day of exploring. Whether you're coming to lounge on the beach or simply enjoy time with family and friends, this Galveston vacation home is a great spot for your next group retreat! This vacation rental offers up to nine guests the chance to unwind and enjoy all of the local attractions including the postcard-perfect beaches! Pop a load of laundry in the private washer/dryer, whip up some dinner in the well-equipped kitchen complete with a breakfast bar, and then dine at the table for eight. Grab a couple of local ice-cold microbrews and then head outside into the fully-fenced backyard. Stream some tunes over the free WiFi or fire up the gas BBQ to grill something tasty. Back inside, the central air conditioning is sure to keep you cool while you watch a DVD or surf the cable channels. Home Rules Quiet hours 9 pm-9 am. Vendors have access to the homes on their scheduled day. Service days have the possibility of changing. Landscape vendors access the home once per week and have access to the backyard. A laundry bag will be dropped off 1-2 days prior to departure. No need to worry, please leave it where it has been placed. This rental property is not used for Nuisance Parties or Unlawful Gatherings. 6 adult maximum plus their dependent children are allowed at the property. If available, fees applied for early check in and late check out being up to 80% of the nightly rate depending on time requested Unauthorized late check-out will incur a penalty of $150 + tax. For your safety and security, there may be public-facing cameras installed on the property. The street is quiet and the neighbors are very friendly. The property manager who came out, was awesome. My family and I appreciate her so much. The only drawbacks were the washer and dryer. I have never left a negative review but at this point the owner, management and maintenance companies are not leaving me a choice. The apologies mean NOTHING when there is no attempt to correct the situation. I daily made the host, management and maintenance aware of things that were wrong or did not work yet no one bothered to attempt to fix or correct the issues. The voicemail stated to text for faster service yet no one ever responded! There was very little water pressure in the sink or showers. The washing machine did not work and we removed soaking wet clothes, we attempted to dry them but the dryer did not work, garbage disposal didn't and the sink would not drain. Only hot water in the kitchen sink. This caused scolding hot water that almost burnt one of our guests and we could not adequately clean dishes because we could not stand to have our hands in the water since it was so hot. Part of the back fence is missing and yard so overgrown we could not let our 7 year old play in the backyard. AC filter & vent was black. I haven't even mentioned the sorry excuse for mattresses in the bunk room or the lack of pillows in the bedrooms. They were so flat that you can't even call them pillows. This rental needs major work and repairs and many upgrades! The pictures in the listing seem to be photo shopped. Again, highly disappointed in the "customer service" or lack of. We spent over $700, asked for partial refund and they gave us $46.50\. Do not book this rental!! ##### Denise W.
