The hotel is a fun concept, designed more for younger people. There wasn’t a coffee maker in the room or a microwave, although they sold Lean Cuisine in the lobby. Breakfast items were not hot, although they were fresh. The room air conditioner was the loudest ever and not efficient.

Staff didn't seem to care when my truck was broken into and over $2000 in tools were taken. You have to pay a daily fee to park and the lot is gated yet they don't close the gates at night.

We had a great stay at the Tru Hotel by Hilton with next to no compliants. The room was great for a 3-star hotel and pretty clean. Bathroom being clean was a huge plus, too. This could be our go-to hotel while in Galveston.

Little irritated because I searched that evening for an ocean view room. I saw this place paid almost $200 but decided to get the room because it was ocean view with a patio. The other places I looked at said partial view, I don’t want that. Thought I would go with the higher priced one for the ocean view. Well it’s not ocean view and where we stayed you can barely see the ocean. So I paid almost $200 for hardly any ocean view which really upset me. I would have stayed somewhere else.

Room was clean, staff was nice. There was an issue with our reservation, but the staff was pretty quick to gix the problem. We were supposed to have an ocean view balcony. We go another room without, but it was fine we were just there for the night before our cruise.

Positives: 1)The room was very nice and clean and had plenty of USB outlets 2) We had an ocean balcony view. Chairs were comfortable and had a good view. 3) The bed is very comfortable. 4) The shower is roomy and the shower head is high enough for tall people to stand under. Also has a lower shelf that you can put your foot on if you need to shave your legs. 5) Pool table in the dinning/sitting area. Also has plenty of sitting area if you need a place to work with your laptop. 6) Walking distance to several restaurants 7) Their bar was nice. It has both indoor and outdoor seating. There was a live band on Saturday night. You can't order food in the bar, but the bartender said that is something they're working on. Negatives: (very minor ones) 1) The room doesn't come with a ice bucket. I asked the front desk for one and they brought me a plastic bucket. It's wasn't insulated and therefore it sweated moisture all over the desk. 2) There's not a coffee maker in the room, but they said they have coffee and tea available 24/7 down in the lobby. I didn't verify it. Overall we really liked the hotel and will stay there again!

The breakfast was supposed to be served til 10am. We got there at 0915. No eggs!!! Wouldn't make anymore. Toilet wouldn't flush. Had to adjust the lever. Body was in shower wasn't full. Had to pay $10 for parking.

The location of the hotel was perfect. The check in process was flawless. The room was a bit small with a not so comfy feel to it. The bar and lobby area was top notch. The most disappointing experience was the uncomfortable pillows and the rude encounter with the overnight staff member Izzy. We called down to the desk a few times at around 1:30am to ask for more pillows and did not get answer. We decided to just get out of bed and walk down to the front desk to ask for extra pillows. I told Izzy we'd been calling but no one answered. She told me she was not always working at the front desk. Izzy gave us two pillows without providing pillow cases. She asked us if we needed anything else. I responded by saying "pillow cases." She then stated that she doesn't have any, they were in the back. I asked if she would get them. She said she would have to go a far distance "in the back" to get them. We waited a while for the pillow cases. I'd like to return to the property if I don't have to interact with Izzy. Not welcoming at all.

Many things were great about this property! Great pool and huge lobby. The cons were the beds are not comfortable and the pillows are the worst we’ve ever had in a hotel. The walls are very thin and we could hear everything around us all night. Also the room did not maintain a cool temperature, so I would not want to stay here during the hot Texas summers.

Very clean and new. Easy check-in. Room was clean but very sparsely appointed. Nice bathroom but very, very low water pressure from shower. You have to know going in there's no microwave, coffee pot or safe in the room. Very, very small fridge low down on the floor. Also they claim 24/7 coffee in the lobby... This is not the case. As long as you know these things going in you will enjoy your stay in this new hotel.

This hotel is a perfect stay. I loved every bit of the beautiful time we got to enjoy here. The hotel was always being cleaned which makes you feel so good especially during the winter. They offer a great breakfast selection and a wonderful array of drink options as well. The staff here is very sweet. I will definitely be staying here again the next time i am in town which is hopefully soon!

Hotel is very nice and clean. There is no where in the description that says you will have to pay to park. I believe this is a disservice to your guests. We are paying to stay there, parking should also be included. Putting the slip in the car that shows we are staying there should be enough, we should not have to pay $10 to park in your lot. I have NEVER had to pay at any hotel to park in their lot. Crazy policy.

Loved the location very clean new hotel. I wish more hotels with hardwood floors. Didn’t get a chance to use the amenities ie the gym or pool cause it was too cold nor did I try the breakfast because I had to get on a cruise ship but this would be my go to hotel when I’m in Galveston. Very close to the beach boardwalk and my new favorite restaurant The Spot and also it’s near the pier which has the rides and games for the kids
