Your Dog Friendly Dream Jamaica Beach Retreat! Nestled in the heart of Jamaica Beach, Pelican Paradise offers an idyllic escape for families and travelers seeking relaxation and adventure by the sea. This charming 2-bedroom plus additional main level room, 1.5-bath home invites you to unwind amidst its modern comforts and enjoy the unparalleled proximity to the stunning beachfront. Weather event cancellations - eligible for refunds when weather or conditions result in a mandatory evacuation order or large-scale outage of essential utilities. Note June through November is considered high storm and hurricane potential season. Travel insurance is recommended - although ensure you are aware of covered conditions. Occupancy Policy For a comfortable stay and in accordance with our house rules, the home accommodates up to 4 adults (18+) maximum - up to 6 total guests when including children. We aim to keep the home affordable for smaller groups. Therefore, there is an additional charge of $25 per night for each guest beyond 5 (regardless of age) and applies to the entire reservation. Please ensure your guest count is accurate when booking. An additional fee of $50 per guest per night will be charged if the number of over-night guests exceeds the number on the reservation. Exceeding property max will result in eviction without a refund. Maximum combined guests and visitors during the day is 8 including children. Unregistered guests are not permitted in the pool due to insurance reasons. Parking The home can accommodate three vehicles. Parking on the street or grass is not permitted. Pet Policy Fully house-trained adult dogs are allowed to a max of two and max 50lbs each - NO exceptions - $75 non-refundable pet fee per dog per stay. We ask that pets stay off all furniture, are cleaned up after (doggie bags provided) and are in a kennel if left alone inside the home. Only dogs are allowed - no other types of pets. An additional fee of $100 per pet in addition to the standard pet fee will be charged and/or eviction without a refund for undisclosed pets. Service Dogs - Texas House Bill 4164 penalties for falsely representing an animal as a service animal is a misdemeanor punishable by up to a $1000 fine and 30 hours of community service. Note that the downstairs room (twin trundle and 1/2 bathroom) is not connected to the upstairs so is not suitable for unattended young children to stay. Guests must be at least 25 years old to book, able to provide government issued photo ID, and have completed the verification process on the booking platform OR have at least one 5-star guest review. NO third-party bookings permitted. The primary guest that books must be at the home for all the nights. The unheated private pool is typically available (warm enough to swim in) between April and September (exact dates based on weather). There are no guarantees that the pool will be available considering potential repairs and/or weather-related reasons. Note that the community pool does not open until Memorial Day weekend and closes after Labor Day weekend. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION An additional fee of $200 will be charged for smoking inside the house either upstairs or downstairs. Rooms and location of the house is great, only had a few concerns that are not as bad but there was a huge rat in the toy box for the pool toys so did not use the toys but I brought my own, the fridge is a bit small so recommend bringing food for maybe 3,4 days if you like to cook, other than that everything was great! there is a Walmart not far, the area for activities is great and distance to the beach is great! The pool was a great way to start the morning, and close out the days. The whole home was nice, and really suited for a quiet getaway while still being close enough to Galveston that it's a quick drive when you are looking for a little more excitement or a bite to eat. The house is clean and set up well. We stayed because there is a pool and loved being able to swim when most pools are closed. The house is very close to a public beach also. Right next to a awesome mexican restaurant right down the road and right across from that restaurant is the beautiful beach access point. Communication with the owner was flawless the entire trip. We had a great stay! Cute property in a quiet neighborhood super close to the beach. Gas station right in front of neighborhood and places to eat were right down the road. Also bed was super comfy which is sometimes hard to find when staying other places! Oh and you can park on the beach from this location which really helps when unloading and not having a long walking distance to set up. SUPER DIRTY!!!!! I message MELISSA the property manager and let she sent a cleaning lady at 9pm. The cleaning lady literally stayed their for 1 hour. It is IMPOSSIBLE for her to clean all that and wash everything within that 1 hour! I literally spent the rest of the night cleaning myself. Over the phone Melissa has offered me 50% refund back. Now upon requesting it she is being super rude! She does not respond to my messages and at this point does not answer me. I am literally fighting this with my bank currently. The online house description & the posted photos were perfect. Upon arrival we discovered it is a 2 bedroom house & not 3 as described. This was greatly disappointing. Our 2 small Grands were going to sleep in the room with the daybed & pull out trundle. The "3rd" bedroom is in fact not a bedroom at all, but rather a closed off, damp/mildew smelling room underneath the house. I imagine in the past this room was used as a storage area. It also does not have a direct set of steps to the upstairs. Anyone young staying in this room at night would need to open the front gate underneath the house, walk around to the back, then use the steps. We ended up making a pallet for the kids to sleep. A pull out sofa couch in the LR would be the perfect solution. The actual upstairs living area was adorable. The rooms were super nice & beachy decorated. The house is super cute on the in/outside. The above ground pool was enjoyed both nights. Everyone loved the over sized, clean pool. The covered patio was welcome & relaxing also. The front yard & fenced in back yard were just beautiful. My only complaint of the living area upstairs was we were a party of 6 & there were only 5 bath towels. If you did not need a 3rd bedroom this would be the PERFECT vacation house. The yard was a nice size and fenced but there was a broken spot in the trellis/pergola, of course my dog found it. Thankfully she was still on her leash when she spotted it.
