Looking for the perfect getaway to unwind? Our 'Beauty on the Water' 3 Bedroom, 2.5 bath home is the perfect retreat to relax or go out on the town in just a short car ride. With an epic location at the heart of Galveston, this home aims to please all enthusiasts and sits right on Madeline Lake! THE SPACE - LIVING AREA / KITCHEN & DINING As soon as you walk through the front door, you'll be welcomed by beautiful tall ceilings with an elegant living room and brick fireplace. You'll also see a full open kitchen with a breakfast bar and views of the water. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you'd need to prepare small or large meals including a toaster oven, Keurig coffee maker and a set of wine glasses for entertaining. Gather around the very inviting kitchen and dining area and look out to the waterfront view of Madeline Lake. THE SPACE - BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS The master bedroom on the main floor is very spacious with a king bed, seating area, television, and en-suite full bathroom complete with a full tub! There is a full water view out of the 4 large windows here too - you'll never want to get out of bed! Also on the main level is a 1/2 bathroom and a laundry area accessible through the garage. The second and third bedrooms are upstairs along with a small office area and another full bathroom. Both contain a queen and double bed and access to the full bathroom. There is also an upper deck off the second bedroom also with amazing views of the lake and extra seating. BED BREAKDOWN Master: King bed with remote controlled adjustments Upstairs Bedroom with Balcony: Queen and double bed Upstairs 2nd Bedroom: Queen and double bed Living Room: Optional pull out couch THE SPACE - OUTSIDE Not only is the house comfortable and gorgeous, but the outside is equally as breathtaking. Step out onto the very large back deck with more seating, and enjoy the quiet summer nights on the water. There's additional a space for a small fire, rooftop deck and a boat lift! You are so close to the beach here but feel like you are living in your own little oasis! Whether you want to enjoy your time the night before you depart for a cruise at the Galveston Cruise Terminal (twenty minutes away), enjoy a day at the beach (less than 5 minutes away), take the family over to Moody Gardens or Schlitterbahn (less than five minutes away), or just hang out at home, this location is the place to be! Loved the upper deck on the water. House was cool in main areas but the bedrooms were a bit warm and we could only adjust temperature for a few hours at time and then it would increase again (so was up twice in the night bumping it back down to a cool enough temp). Over all it was a lovely experience. The outside hangout area was for sure the highlight, right up on the water with multiple spots to relax. Then we found some mold of a cutting board, and the upstairs right bedroom lights were out. Though all things that can be fixed, I understand how hectic renting out a property can be. The hosts gave a solution, and offered sending someone over to address the issues. Great communication, very clean place. It is an oasis. Check-in was easy, the home is beautiful, and everything we needed was available, from comfortable beds to plenty of towels and coffee. Location suitably convenient for quick access to the seawall and nearby attractions. Property met the needs of our group of 10\. Master bed very comfortable, upstairs beds to the left could use better mattress and sheets. The sheets had funny smell, as if they remained in the washing machine too long before being put into a dryer. That's minor, and far as I know, it didn't take away from the enchanted time and memories enjoyably created. My family is pleased with the experience. We didn't have problem with neighbors nor were we problems to the neighbors but be aware, it's a quiet-serene-enclave. I wouldn't suggest acquiring for super high energy/high traffic event. ##### Adrian S. This was the worst experience I've ever had renting a beach home. Upon arriving the lawn wasn't maintained like the pictures 2\. Dishwasher had the house smelling like something died, with tons of flies all over the place. 3\. Upon inspecting the beds, found a bedbug. 4\. No curtains and furniture is in need of cleaning and replaced. 4\. Food all in the chairs dining room chair's. Owner is not as welcoming as others that we've rented from at all. This was a nightmare! I had to take at least 1 hr trying to kill all of the flies, this was suppose to be a vacation. Paid for 3 nights and only was there for 2hrs at the most after discovering the BEDBUG. NOW IM HAVING A TIME GETTING MY DEPOSIT AND MY RENTAL FEE BACK. ##### Karen P. We went to Schlitterbahn for the day and then stayed at the beach house for the night to have a fun girls night. The house was literally right across the street from Schlitterbahn, it was beautiful, perfect fit for all of us, clean, and smelled amazing. The only small complaint were there were quite a few crawling insect encounters, but it also wasn't totally unexpected because we were staying right on the lake. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely be booking here again in the future! ##### Vela B. Very nice home in a quiet lovely neighborhood just across the street from Moody Gardens and Schlitterbahn. Convenient location to everything on Galveston Island. The lovely outdoor decks and fire pit made it perfect for our family to enjoy our time there. It was our grandbaby’s first time to fish and he caught several perch and even a catfish right off the dock. Gareth was quick to answer any questions we had and we highly recommend this particular rental. ##### JANET N. This place was perfect, located across the street from Moody Gardens we were able to get back and forth with no issues. We enjoyed our time at the house and the kids were able to some fun outside. The kitchen was very functional and had a nice area to eat and entertain adjoined. The master bedroom has a wonderful view of the deck and water on the back side of the house. The master bedroom also had a really nice bathroom. Overall our stay was nice but there were a few issues with areas that were missed in the cleaning prior to our arrival. ##### K P.
