Offering an enviable, gulf-front location on the sandy shores of Galveston Island, this captivating beachside retreat includes its very own private boardwalk leading from the backyard to the golden sand. Newly constructed on 1.5 acres, this home features beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico, generous outdoor space (including 600 square feet of covered outdoor space), and a bright interior with luxe finishes and a decidedly modern aesthetic. As you enter this stilted home via a flight of exterior stairs, you'll be greeted by a host of thoughtful touches - central air conditioning, a Nest thermostat, LED lighting, shiplap accent walls, and wall-to-wall windows that showcase the beach. The living room boasts lovely views of the water, plentiful seating, and a 66-inch Smart TV. It also seamlessly blends with the chef's kitchen, outfitted with stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, a modern farm sink, and subway tile backsplash. There's a separate pantry for your dry goods and ample space to dine at the six-person island and the adjacent dining room table for eight. The outdoor areas are just as special, including a gulf-facing deck with lounge seating and an umbrella-shaded dining table for eight. There's also a balcony upstairs and a shaded patio on the ground level, where you'll find an entertaining area with Adirondack chairs, two picnic tables, and an outdoor shower to rinse you off after fun-filled beach days. At night, you'll find that each of the four bedrooms has its own en suite bathroom and Smart TV. The primary suite features direct access to the gulf-facing deck, a sliding barn door, and an elegant bathroom with a shower. A second suite on the top floor features its own gulf view balcony and a bathroom with a shower. The third bedroom has a bathroom with a tub/shower combination, while the fourth bedroom is equipped with bunks that are perfect for kids and a bathroom with a shower. Management company needs to take a walk through of the property and make repairs of items that need attention- dirty air filters, nails on boardwalk to beach, gates in yard, exhaust flaps just to name a few. The home is beautifully maintained and offers all the amenities needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. It’s especially great for families with small children, as there are plenty of thoughtful touches throughout. The location is ideal, just a short walk to the beach, and the surroundings are peaceful and scenic. House is new and beds are very comfortable. There were a few minor issues that will be reported to management. Séjour de 3 nuits en octobre 2024 ### 2/10 – Terrible #### Laurinda P., Austin, TX 30 juill. 2024 Points faibles : Propreté #### Vacation Ruined We booked, paid for, and even confirmed this house was ready for our arrival prior to traveling to Galveston, only to find out it was under construction, inhabitable, and unsafe for us to stay in for even an hour let alone the 6 nights we paid for. This house had exposed electrical wiring from electrical outlets, one shower/rest room had the sheetrock completely removed and exposed plumbing, there was tons of water damage and mold as a result. There were several dehumidifiers throughout the house which made it difficult to walk around in the house. Our vacation was ruined and I spend 3 days trying to get VRBO and Vacasa to rectify our situation but did not receive even a remotely acceptable resolution and still haven't. ##### Laurinda P. I booked a trip to Galveston, Texas, in May 2024 through Vacasa. A week before our check-in date, a hurricane hit the city. Concerned for our safety, I contacted Vacasa to assess the damage. They assured me they would update me the next day, but despite daily follow-ups, I was ignored. Given the lack of communication, I contacted VRBO, the booking platform. They agreed it was unsafe to travel, refunded their service fee, and suggested the host should refund the trip cost. However, VRBO couldn't enforce this and advised me to contact Vacasa again. Despite informing Vacasa of the situation and my decision not to travel, I was ignored. On the Monday of our check-in week, I received check-in instructions, disregarding my safety concerns. The power was still out in the city. It appears Vacasa ignored my concerns, hoping I would make a dangerous journey through several cities under a state of emergency. This would have placed my family, including elderly and young members, in a perilous situation. I am requesting Vacasa to refund my money as they continue to ignore my concerns. Desired Resolution: A full refund of the reservation cost. Thank you for addressing this urgent matter. ##### Carlos M. Absolutely everything we needed. No skimping anywhere. No long list of things to do before leaving. Great beach access. This is the best beach house we've ever stayed at. We have really enjoyed this home away from home. It's a beautiful location and the sunrise and sunset views are amazing. The only negatives this time around were the house could use a nice deep clean. It was clean looking when we first walked in but once getting settled there were hairs in the rugs and grime in the corners. Hairs in some of the towels. Some of the door knobs needed a good tightening as they were hanging off the bedroom doors. The bunk beds were a bit wobbly and needed some screw tightening. Normal wear and tear things but do need to be addressed. Some of the frying pans had food residue left on them. There was a slight smoking smell and the windows were left slightly open. We still had a great time and made great memories in this house. We truly enjoyed our stay. I just hoped I wouldn't have to do a little extra cleaning on my vacation. ##### A P. The house is beautiful and well designed for a large group with a bathroom in every room PLUS a guest bathroom downstairs. The master bedroom offers a beautiful view to wake up to with just the right amount of privacy. Can we talk about the shower in there - AMAZING water pressure, making it feel like a vortex spa of relaxation! The family was able to quickly access the beach via the beautiful and scenic walkway down. The evenings on the porch were so relaxing! No need for tv/phones just pure relaxation. WE did have an issue with ants in the pantry along with other cleaning issues -but with all the other positives - we worked through it. Stores and restaurants are close by but you are far enough away from the shopping that it still feels relaxing! We had the best time! Don't think about this house - book it! ##### BRIDGETTE R.
