With access to a shared pool, hot tub, and other resort amenities, as well as a bright and welcoming interior, amazing sea views, and room for everyone, you may never want to leave. In an unbeatable location just steps from the sand, this house makes it easy to spend your days lounging on the beach. Take a three-mile drive down the Bluewater Highway and hike the coastal Kelly Hamby Nature Trail, or head up to Galveston for dining, shopping, historic homes, and fascinating museums. THINGS TO KNOW Starting September 5, 2023, Pointe West Resort will be conducting maintenance on the elevators. During this period, certain elevators will be unavailable for a few weeks. Beach Club bands will be $25 per guest over three years old to access all amenities. This fee is charged by the POA of Pointe West and is payable at the Beach Club. Due to local rules and regulations, there are certain restrictions around the pool occupancy and times of use. No reservations are required, but occupancy is limited to a first come, first serve basis up to 50% occupancy. Specific information will be provided after you book. The on-site restaurant/cafe is no longer available. This home's elevators are not consistently reliable. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles. This rental is located on floor 3. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The VRBO app never showed important details like the address, and I had to download the Vacasa app in order to check in and access basic information.Several amenities were closed due to the off-season, which was not disclosed in the listing. I also attempted to extend our stay by one day, but my request was never acknowledged or answered.There is a camera positioned outside the spare bedroom window, which felt uncomfortable and should be clearly disclosed. Additionally, the property is not beachfront as implied—there are two buildings in front of it and it is a short walk to the beach. During our stay, the property manager left a large note on our car for backing into the parking space, despite there being no signage and us being the only occupants in the building.While the unit itself was nice, the lack of communication and customer service both before and during our stay significantly impacted the experience and made it not worth the price. ##### Andrea h. Only critique is that this is a top floor unit and the elevator broke shortly after our arrival, so it was a lot of heavy lifting and the departure took much longer than it should have. I talked to an owner of another unit and he said it was a brand new elevator and only two weeks old, so at least they’re investing in the property. Just bad timing. I’ve heard that a lot of the elevators around Pointe West are finicky so if you have anyone in your party with mobility challenges, just know this is on the 4th floor if the elevator goes out. ##### Austin J. My wife and I (plus Daisy, our Golden Retriever) had an awesome 5 days at Pointe West. The condo was clean and very secluded which is exactly what we were looking for. The beds were comfortable. We were the only ones in that condo building for 5 weekdays in early November. Peace and Tranquility. :) This condo building sits at the far end of Pointe West beachside condos and is therefore much quieter than the buildings closer to the pool. Very few guests in early November but the weather was perfect. 80 highs and sunny. The dog absolutely loved the beach. We were often the only people on the beach as far as the eye could see. The only drawback was a fire alarm went off which caused a fire truck to come and clear the building, but that was hardly the condo's fault. We will be back. Thank you. Multipile codes did not work over 45 min of trying. Finally got combination to key . Vacasa was not very responsive & unprofessional. Never have this problem w SandnSea & invariably they will allow check in as soon as unit is ready. Condo was well appointed across the bedrooms, kitchen and bathrooms, with comfortable beds!
