The unit sleeps 8 with 2 King beds, a daybed & trundle, and a comfy queen sleeper sofa. Guests will also enjoy the 55" Ultra 4K Smart TV & DVD player in the living room, free secure WiFi, & DishTV. There's a fully stocked kitchen...complete with dinnerware for both inside dining or patio dining. A full-size pantry, large side-by-side refrigerator and full-size dishwasher can easily accommodate a family gathering. A coffeemaker, toaster, blender, can opener, cork screws, various sizes of pots and pans, and cooking utensils, as well as a stock pot are all provided. Towels and sheets are provided by our partner linen service. There may be some variations in furnishings or decor since pictures were taken. \*\*\*Construction is ongoing at the Maravilla. THE ACTUAL UNIT IS NOT UNDER CONSTRUCTION! \*\*\* \*\*\*The heated pool will be under construction starting August 18, 2025\. Reopening is anticipated to be on November 14th. Thanks for understanding!\*\*\* The property has wonderful amenities to discover and enjoy while staying at Dancing Mermaid. Three pools (one of which is heated), a hot tub, poolside grills, picnic tables, chaise loungers and poolside seating...as well as a volleyball area...all in a relaxing tropical setting. Additional outdoor activities include ping-pong and bean bag toss. Due to the ongoing construction and in the interest of Safety, the Maravilla business office will be located in unit 121\. This is where you will need to go to pay your parking. A parking fee must be paid to Maravilla office upon arrival. The office does not accept cash. Parking Rules and prices are as follows: 1) Parking Rates will be set at $10.00 per car per day PLUS Sales tax 2) Trailers (Motorcycle) will be charged the same rate as cars and are limited to special event weekends such as Biker Rally Weekend. No other time are trailers of any sort allowed to be parked at Maravilla. 3) Per day rates will be capped after $70.00 per 30 day time period, and the per day rate will start over again on the 31st day. Galveston is an amazing and fun community! There are so many different things to do and see...there truly is something for everyone. Within walking distance of Dancing Mermaid, you'll find go-carts and miniature golf, fishing and dining at Jimmy's on the Pier, batting cages, and our local movie theater. Moody Gardens Golf Course is located nearby, as is the entire Moody Gardens experience and our world-famous waterpark, Schlitterbahn. In town, enjoy one of many fabulous restaurants that offer everything from fine dining to international cuisine to some of the best burgers around. If shopping is your thing, visit The Strand and Postoffice where quaint shops and art galleries abound. You won't want to miss Mod Coffeehouse or Hey, Mikey's Ice Cream! The Grand 1894 Opera House offers some of the best entertainment and shows in Texas, featuring headliners from across the country, as well as an historic setting for live theatre. And, we love our festivals and special events here in Galveston! Mardi Gras, Lone Star Biker Rally, Dickens on the Strand, and the numerous triathlons, marathons and walk-a-thons are popular events throughout the year. Bird watching, kayaking, and fishing of all kinds round out the many outdoor activities enjoyed by both locals and visitors alike. We welcome our guests and work diligently to make their experience at Dancing Mermaid memorable. However, we only rent to adults over the age of 25 and families. A photo copy of identification of main renter is required prior to arrival of stay. Maravilla is one of only a few "pet friendly" properties in Galveston. Home is dog friendly for up to 2 pets. $100.00 non-refundable fee for the 1st pet and $50 non-refundable fee for the 2nd pet. 25lb limit. Guest must contact our office prior to arrival to make arrangements for payment of pet fee and/or signature on a pet addendum. We do ask for a pet deposit and that all property rules regarding pets are strictly followed. Guests' "Bucket List" of suggested items to bring will be provided upon reservation confirmation. The unit is clean and nice. Decor is appropriate for a bench condo. There were plenty of cooking utensils, pots/pans, etc. The patio is a huge bonus! It’s massive compared to the smaller units & directly overlooks the large pool. The only downside to this unit is that you’re far from the beach. It’s quite the haul…but it’s not too much further than the closer units. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars is the actual property, more specifically the parking garage/breezeway. The appearance felt more motel & less condo. The luggage carts are old grocery buggies. The door to this condo looks out over the parking lot & is not in the shady looking breezeway, so that’s also a huge plus. We never felt unsafe, but we were a little concerned when we first arrived based off the parking garage. The pools are awesome! Very clean & never felt overcrowded. A couple of the staff members are a little rude & would walk around checking everyone for wrist bands. I saw one worker harass another lady because she didn’t have her wrist band on & the worker was incredibly rude to her. She ended up leaving the pool to go to her room to get her band. I would definitely stay here again. The floor wasn’t as clean as I would have wanted. I sent an email about it, and with in the hour they sent three people to clean the floors. The owner of the property called and apologized. She made it right with good communication! The large balcony overlooking the large pool and palm trees was nice! You can see the ocean from a far distance but, I wouldn’t necessarily call it an ocean view. ##### Aubree S. Very impressed with the overall look and comfort of the place. Facilities were good. Workout area could use some attention. Pool area was cleaned daily and we had the place to ourselves most of the time. Loved how the apartment sat back away from the road and was protected from the wind and car noise. Kids loved the wildlife that hanged around the pool area and the birds made for a very tropical experience. ##### Elaina A. It was VERY clean and updated with stylish decor and furnishings. It was nice to have a full size washer and dryer. Great location! The fully stocked kitchen was a huge help. There were board games, plenty of regular and pool towels, and beach toys for kids. We fully enjoyed our stay. The only changes I would make would be the shower curtains ( I think it's time for new ones), a good mopping of bathroom floors (we found hair when we entered), and the tub was very slow to drain. Pool was a nice break from the salty windy beach! But the condo is still close enough to load up and cross the street to the beach! It’s a ways from the pier so traffic wasn’t bad!
