Surveillance devices are located facing the front stairway and back stairway for your protection and ours. They record video and audio. We are API integrated through a third party platform, AirBnB allows this. It's just a $200 hold on the card during your stay, and will be released after checkout. Check in process very easy. However, air conditioning went out our first night in the July heat. I did wait until 7 o’clock the next morning to notify the owner. They were very quick to respond and did have air conditioning back on within approximately six hours of notification. Rental 2 nights….so 42 hours and was without AC for approximately half of that. Location is close to groceries, restaurants, etc, but located on a pretty busy road with not much to view from the balconies. Maybe this is a common thing for Galveston cottages, but the big drawback for us was that all the windows were shuttered at least halfway or all the way from the outside.
