It’s not “charming” at all. The house sits on a busy main road with constant traffic noise, and it’s so poorly insulated you hear everything, including a kid bouncing a ball next door.When we arrived, the house was 57 degrees and freezing. It took TWO DAYS to warm up to a livable temperature. There were NO extra blankets; we had to buy our own just to survive the cold. The floors were sticky and clearly not cleaned. Then a mouse got inside. The only response was, “Do you want someone to spray?” Nothing happened until I contacted VRBO directly.The listing claims it sleeps 20, but there is nowhere for 20 people to sit or eat together. There are only 6 barstools split between two tiny areas. We had 5 people and couldn’t even eat at the same table. The couch is disgusting, the arms and back are crushed, it smells, and it looks NOTHING like the pictures.The upstairs bed is completely caved in the middle; you roll into the center all night and get ZERO sleep. Combine that with freezing temperatures and no blankets, and it’s unbearable. The water pressure is extremely low, making showers miserable.Outside, the gravel parking area had broken glass everywhere, and it looked like someone was working on the pool, and tools were left out, creating a safety hazard. Absolutely unacceptable. We left two days early because it was impossible to stay.DO NOT STAY HERE. Completely misrepresented, uncomfortable, and unsafe. ##### Brandi E. I am not familiar with Galveston so wasn’t aware that it is located on a main thoroughfare. But it was still relatively quiet and close to everything we needed. The property manager was quick to respond, and the place was exactly as listed. It was a quick ride to the port, which we really liked.
