The two biggest factors in my review are the hosts communication and the location of the home! You're within walking distance of everything you want to do in Galveston. It was great because GPS was sometimes a little funny so being able to walk places was very nice. The host was awesome to work with and had great communication! There was plenty of space for our party of 6 and we could have comfortable slept 2-4 more guests. We could walk to the beach everyday and the amenities were perfect. The beds were comfy enough for a great night's sleep after swimming and sight seeing. Some other reviews mention the home being a little dusty, but c'mon, it's used as a beach house and to be expected. Don't fill the refrigerator with warm and room temperature drinks and it cools just fine. We had zero problems with it staying at temp. We had no issues with the refrigerator cooling. The first night we were there one of the beds had a wet spot on the sheets and there were no extra sheets to put on the bed. The AC also quit working during the night. I contacted the property manager first thing the next morning and they had everything fixed within an hour. The home is spacious and comfortable for our group of seven women. We had come for dickens on the strand weekend and it was a very easy drive from the home there. New mattresses were an added bonus! We will plan on staying there again for our next trip to Galveston. Walking 1 1/2 blocks to the beach, even in December, was great for strolling early in the morning and watching the fog (couldn’t see the sunrise!) perhaps next time we will be able to take advantage of the mini games they had there for use, and hope to come sometime in the summer to be able to make use of the plentiful beach items they had for use by the guests .
