Whether you are interested in gazing at the stars from our nook, rejuvenating in our hot tub, or seeking some retro entertainment fun, our house has everything you need!
Bedrooms
Each of the three floors has its own bedroom and bathroom to keep everyone together but maintain privacy. Head upstairs to our queen bedroom with double sink bathroom w/shower. On your way down you’ll pass by our nook with a queen bed. On the main level, you’ll find a bedroom with 2 twin beds, full bath w/tub & shower. Step down to our lower level to another Queen bedroom, full bath w/shower. The family room has a pull-out queen couch. Check out the free washer and dryer.
Kitchen
If you plan on cooking, just bring the food. Our kitchen (and gas grill) has everything you need. Gather at our dining room table for 8, breakfast bar for 3, or our screened porch - with a three-sided forest view. Afterward, stop by our Coffee Bar, then step out onto our deck to relax in our backyard forest.
Indoor entertainment
You won’t want to miss our retro-themed basement rec room, with classic games from the 60’s. Older kids can play a game of foosball or other games. Younger kids will enjoy boxes of toys or choosing from dozens of DVDs. Need to kick back? Our TVs have over 170 channels.
Outdoor fun
Enjoy our safe, peaceful, backyard playland. Kids will enjoy the play gym, exploring nature and playing with the outdoor toys. Adults need to unwind? Soak in our new hot tub, share stories around the firepit or enjoy nature from our comfy couches. Feel adventurous? Hike through our private walking trails and try to spot all 9 hidden planets.
Nook & Office
Time for a break? Head upstairs to our namesake loft - Stargazer's Nook! Snuggle up with a book, take a nap on the queen mattress or gaze into night sky through the three walls of tall windows. Need to work? Use our free high-speed internet and office space.
Great location
Our home is nestled in 1.6 acres of trees, on a quiet cul-de-sac. It is centrally located in The Galena Territory under 2 miles from the main entrance, Highland Restaurant, Country Store, and The General Golf Course. The Owners Club is about a mile away. Downtown Galena is just 9 miles away. Our home is NOT pet friendly.
Owners Club access
You have access to the Galena Territory Owners Club. It includes an indoor, outdoor and kiddie pool, fitness room, game room, basketball, tennis & pickle ball courts, snack bar and playground. For outdoor enthusiasts there is Lake Galena with trophy fishing, boat & kayak rentals, horseback riding, and miles of nature trails. Please remember usage of the amenities is NEVER guaranteed. We do not discount or refund due to closure.
Booking
When you book a home with us, we will require 30% down, this is a payment not a deposit. The full balance is due 14 days prior to check in. If you cancel prior to the 14 days you will receive the first payment less a $35 cancellation fee. At the 14 day mark, your stay will become non-refundable and dates cannot be adjusted. Your payments will automatically be processed to the card you placed on file at the time of booking. Your rental agreement (sent after booking) will reflect the due dates and amounts. Please NOTE: You will be required to sign an electronic rental agreement at the time of booking. We ask this be signed and filed within 48 hours of receiving to guarantee your reservation. You must be 25 or older at the time of booking and present the entire stay. Our cancellation policy is NOT flexible, we highly recommend travel insurance. Travel insurance is offered at the time of booking and up until 15 days prior to check in. The provider is CSA.
Check-in
Check in details are sent 3 days prior to arrival to the email on file. This includes the home's address, the access code and other pertinent home/area information. Early check-in is never guaranteed and cannot be considered until the night before or morning of arrival. The check-in details will cover this process.
