Great location, only 1.5mile walk into the local town with great amenities, pubs and restaurants etc. The cabins are basic but spotlessly clean, and actually contain everything you need. "Absolutely loved staying at 24 Royal Terrace! Felt so welcome as soon as we arrived by the friendly staff/ hotel manager Jonathon. Rooms are great with a peaceful garden/ countryside view. We had been on vacation for 11 days at this point and stayed in many different locations and we all stated to one another we would have just stayed at this location the whole time. It's perfect. "This is the real castle deal! We were thrilled be allocated room 4 in the large turret of the castle. A red four postered bed themed room with all the glory of days gone by. "So far the most comfy and welcoming place I have stayed at while here. This was my first time in the UK and I’m glad to have stayed here. Good room for the price with breakfast included. Only snag is the place is out of range for taxi/uber pickups. They are able to drop off if you’re coming from Edinburgh but best to rely on Eskbank station or a rental car if you need to get back."
