We loved the place. Would stay there again in a heartbeat if back this way again. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Those meals were great too. All the staff we encountered were very pleasant. The only issue we had was a cold shower that never did warm up at all. Presumably a maintenance issue that will be corrected in short order.

Building is obviously a Little Bit old, but very clean and staff is very friendly, polite and helpful. We would recommend for other guests and appreciate to come back.

We enjoyed our suite, which was fully equiped warm and with great character. The term " sea view" was very apt. We will be going back and would highly reccomend it.

The hotel was nice and comfortable. Had problems with the restaurant, as it was end of season, and they were looking to “get rid of their old food”. It was not good. Probably in season the food is fine. Aside from the food, it’s a nice place.

Very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable room, tasty restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. We also enjoyed the ambience of the village.

Tv in room didn't work. Man did come and look at it but failed. I would have liked a mirror in bedroom. Only mirrors were in bathroom. Need mirror near socket for drying hair.

Been to better for less money
The room was ok, but no toiletries, the shower did not have a door, the tv was very small. Dinner was ok but very expensive for what is was. Breakfast was a continuous walk back and forth to get things, nothing on the table at all, had to ask for coffee refill. The place was generally dusty and grubby

Hotel liegt direkt am Wasser. Schöner Ausblick. Zimmer ok, praktisch und sauber. Frühstück war gut, auch das Abendessen dort war lecker und empfehlenswert. Es gibt auch ein eigenes Pub - angenehm, da der Ort sonst nicht so viel zu bieten hat. Waren dort nur für eine Nacht.

The Millcroft Hotel is excellent value for money. The staff are very welcoming and always friendly. We stayed in Room 6 with excellent views of the bay. Dinner menu had lots of variety, food was great. Cooked breakfast plentiful and beautifully served. Highly recommend for any length of stay!

May have been good in the 1950’s
Privately owned hotels are struggling, and it showed. Bed - VERY POOR QUALITY - ALSO TOO SMALL. Hotel - Needs to be smashed down and rebuilt, it’s WAY past it’s sell by date. The only upto date item about the hotel, the price it charges per night - 150 pounds for a couple. It’s not worth half the money. Will definitely be back on the NC500 route, Scotland is beautiful, so beautiful it HAS to be seen. Use branded hotels they have the money and the infrastructure to offer you, what you will pay for. The privately owned ones don’t have the money backing behind them, and they think they are better than they really are. Sorry but true, rather sleep in your car, I’m not joking.

We paid for the hotel but we didn’t stay, the room was uninhabitable, cold dirty and damp, it was so bad we walked out almost immediately without knowing if we would be able to find anywhere else for the night, we decided the car would be cleaner!

Host and staff incredibly hospitable and helpful. They went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The folks of Gairloch and the west of Scotland are as special as the beautiful environment. Slainte!

Heaven for a damp biker
Staff were very friendly, engaging and helpful through the whole stay. Dinner and breakfast we're lovely, great quality and very tasty. Perfect place for a motorcyclist enjoying the beauty of the NC500.
