The property was ideal in many respects for our stay. It is well positioned near the Forum and about a half hour walk into Funchal. It is a large apartment with good facilities and the pool was an added bonus. The only slight drawback was that the balcony was very small - not suitable for 3 adults in our case.There were two issues however during our stay. The heated towel rail was not working from the beginning; we received a prompt reply that it would be repaired but no-one appeared throughout the week. Also we were situated immediately next to a lift which made a loud, squeaky noise 24hrs. Again nothing seemed to be done about it - we don't know how the residents put up with it? ##### Malcolm W.
