Palheiro Village itself also features the Forum, a large central swimming pool. At the entrance of the villa, you find the open plan dining area and fully equipped kitchen, leading to a sunken lounge that opens to a side terrace with outdoor dining and barbecue, and wonderful views over the town and sea – perfect for morning breakfast or enjoying those amazing sunsets. Two of the bedrooms are also on this level, both with their own private balcony and sea-view, sharing a family bathroom. The Master Suite is located on the lower floor, and opens to the front terrace. The heated (optional) swimming pool, with lovely sea-views and surrounded by sun-beds and sun umbrella is on this level, as well as a service area with an additional fridge, perfect for keeping your swimming pool drinks. This is one of the more tranquil vilas in Madeira, yet close to Funchal and many other amenities, and a great choice for a villa holiday. Golf and nearby facilities: The villa is located in the prestigious gated Palheiro Village complex, which is part of Palheiro Nature Estate that features Palheiro Golf Course, Palheiro Spa and the 5-star Casa Velha do Palheiro Hotel. Guests can easily access the Palheiro Nature Estate using the remote control provided for the top barrier of Palheiro Village. The Forum in Palheiro Village set 200m from Palheiro Ocean Villa, a lovely large communal heated swimming pool, is available to guests. Guests at Palheiro Ocean Villa also benefit from green fee discounts at Palheiro Golf. Within the Palheiro Nature Estate are the Clubhouse restaurant in Palheiro Golf, that provides a mixture of snacks and meals whilst enjoying the amazing views over town and the sea. The five-star Casa Velha do Palheiro is the ideal place to take an afternoon tea surrounded by nature and the beautiful Blandy gardens, and also features the the fine-dining restaurant, is the perfect spot for a special dinner or just to enjoy a more sophisticate ambience. The SPA at Casa Velha do Palheiro with indoor swimming pool and special treatments is the perfect place to relax and enjoy one of the many treatments available.. The nearest mini-market and a pharmacy are in São Gonçalo and about 1.9 km from the Villa. Two large branded supermarkets, a small shopping centre, other large outlets and the nearest petrol station are approximately 1.7 Km away. The Garajau Beach part of the Marine Natural reserve is accessible by cable car, is only 3.5 km away. It’s the perfect spot for a nice swim in clear waters. The capital, Funchal, is only a 15 minute drive away, and the airport a 20 minute drive. Cleaning The property is prepared for your arrival. For stays of longer than 7 nights, a change of linen and towels, and light mid-stay cleaning of bathrooms is provided on a day and time to be advised at check-in. All linen and towels are provided. For health reasons, linen for a baby cot is not provided and you should bring your own. Guests need to vacate the villa during a mid-stay clean and change of linen. Booking Notes The advertised prices are based on a 4-person occupancy and supplements apply should anyone join you for any length of time. To secure your reservation we require a non-refundable deposit or the full amount if the reservation is made within 8 weeks prior to arrival. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival. A security deposit of 500€ is required, charged in advance to a credit card. This will be returned to your credit card within 5 working days after your departure, subject to the villa being returned in good condition. The minimum stay is 07 nights. Final details for check-in and driving instructions to the property will be sent 7 days prior to arrival. A contact number will be provided, and to be able to access the property, you need to phone this number as you are leaving the airport. The accommodation was spacious and clean, and had everything that we could have wanted, and was a perfect size for the 5 of us. We received prompt and successful assistance when the WiFi was not working on our arrival, and the gated community was very peaceful. We will certainly look up "Villa Madeira" again when we come back, as all our dealings with them, through the booking process and beyond were easy and well managed. We are not golfers, so cannot comment on the course, other than to say that it looked very well tended, and looked like it was popular. We did however, venture in to the Club House and had a very delicious lunch served by friendly and helpful staff. Madeira itself was a delight, and we would like to come back and explore the things that we din't get around to this time around. Séjour de 8 nuits en novembre 2023 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Paula O. 30 août 2023 Points forts : Propreté #### Peaceful Villa with fantastic views The villa location is fantastic overlooking both the Atlantic Ocean and the city of Funchal. The sunsets were beautiful from the balcony. The Villa was in reality better than the photos, it was very spacious and clean but a little bit sparse on the decor (something on the walls in primary bedroom is needed). We had two adult couples enjoying the stay and there was plenty of space and privacy. A few improvements would be to add toss cushions to the couch as it is very deep, add two full length mirrors one in the primary bedroom and one upstairs for the other bedrooms, add patio chairs on bedroom side patio and re-anchor the pool stair rails which felt very unstable. Otherwise it was a great villa with plenty of fridge storage upstairs and down plus a large laundry room with washer/dryer. Beds were comfortable but missed a tv in the primary. The community was fabulous, very quiet, safe and well maintained. The villa is close to Funchal for restaurants and a personal parking spot attached to villa is provided for your rental car (a must if you want to see around the island plus villa streets are very steep). The property manager was prompt with responses on any issues, we had an a/c unit that didn’t work in the 3rd bedroom which maintenance attempted to repair w/o success but fortunately we weren’t occupying that room. Property manager helped also with transfer arrangements. I would definitely recommend this Villa for a stay in Madeira. ##### Paula O.
