The staff and the accommodation itself was lovely. I got to the hotel early and paid about $7 dollar U.S. to get a room early. They have free ramen offered for an hour at night. The bath/hot spring was just what I needed. The staff was helpful and respectful. Would absolutely stay here again. Struggled with putting on the A/c and a staff member cleaning another room came to save the day!

Both Western & Japanese breakfast we’re excellent; servers were energetic & efficient. Lobby & coin laundry area seemed to be updated/remodeled but rooms were retro with outdated fixtures; rooms had the old fashioned keys with the room number, not card keys! But it was a clean & nice stay.

Very good location, just next to Fukui Station. The room was not too small but the double bed was smaller than a queen bed. While nowadays most hotels will use duvet covers, this hotel still uses a flat sheet, barely bigger than the comforter. I would think a duvet cover is much better hygiene!

Staff very disrespectful and talk behind your back. There was a simple mistake in my booking and they were not very helpful. Instead they insisted on charging an extra $50 and there’s no way around it. (I accidentally cancelled my reso and rebooked, but when rebooked I had 1 person instead of 2. They would not add the other person back without taking $50.) Rooms were very old and dated. Blanket was not great. Only nice thing was the bath house.

Courtesy free ramen in the evenings. The hotel is good for the level ot is. Easy 2 minute walk from Fukui Station exit gates.

I'm afraid to say that although the stay is great, guests are VERY loud and a bit out of Japanese rules. Since I like quiet and proper manners, I cannot recommend the property. More should be done to teach, or make guest follow the norms of the property, if there are any.
