« We have recently returned from a 4 night break at Tawny cottage. Already knowing the Keswick area well we knew Portinscale would suit us well - outside the bustle of Keswick but within easy walking distance down a nice path, and easy access to local country walks. The cottage was immaculate in both cleanliness and decor - and well equipped - with off street parking. Our adult daughter had the 2nd bedroom with 2 single beds ( would have been a perk if was 2 singles which could be set up as a King...

« Roslin is a lovely house in an excellent location for accessing Keswick and surrounding fells. The house was clean and well equipped. The garden is lovely and there are beautiful views from all aspects. Parking on site. This was our third stay and I would happily recommend and hope to return again in the future. »

« Brandlehow is the perfect place to relax and refuel. The location is superb, nestled in the woodlands and on the shores of Derwentwater. Most days began with a coffee overlooking the lake, watching the sunrise and the cloud disperse. Beautiful walks from the doorstep and of course a lot of kayaking right from the door. « We had a wonderful stay in this cosy, quiet cottage with plenty of space and everything you needed. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked but, you will need to bring any essentials salt and pepper, oil, etc. very nice pet welcome pack and packs of welcome with tea and cleaning items. There is a village shop nearby and several pub restaurants. There are a number of great walks on your doorstep from easy to more challenging without needing drive.. A beautiful area to explore so...
