Pets ok for a fee! Ready to Relax, Unwind and Rejuvenate while Breathing in fresh ocean air? Well "Castaway Cottage" is the place that will fill your island and beach desires! This home is set on a large tropical, shaded location across the street from beach. Hear the ocean waves crash as you sit on the large screened in porch, or slide the doors open to experience more of an open air living experience. Canal in the back yard with some of the best fishing opportunities on Fripp Island! Remodeled and updated open floor plan home with a separate apartment. The apartment is located on ground level with an open floor plan. A bright dining area, spacious living room that is surrounded by windows, a kitchenette, full size bathroom and bedroom with 2 twin beds.. Upstairs is the main house with an open floor plan, well appointed full size kitchen, dining room area and spacious living room that walks out to a large screened in porch! Two King Master en-suites with sliding glass doors that lead out to the porch. An additional bedroom with 2 Full beds for a total of 8 that can sleep upstairs! The large backyard leads to a dock that is perfect for fishing, kayaking or boating. Beach access 23 is right across the street. A ramped boardwalk makes beach fun even more easily accessible! No stairs! Castaway Cottage will consider pets. We don't want to leave our pets at home so we would like to plan that you don't have to either. We do charge a small pet fee, cheaper than most places charge to board. We would love for you to build your island memories while staying at "Castaway Cottage". Please let us know how we can be of assistance with helping you book your fantastic beach vacation. 3 upstairs bedrooms and living area, 1 downstairs bedroom and common area backyard canal access middle of island, not far from boathouse or marina or golf course PETS MUST BE PREAPPROVED. You will be asked to sign a pet agreement and pay a non refundable $150 pet fee for the first pet and $75 for a 2nd pet. An additional $300 will be charged for guests that show up with a dog without approval. A few notes about the island - We are club members which means that the Club amenity cards are available for purchase. The Fripp Island Club requires amenity cards for you to frequent their amenities. These amenities include golfing, playing tennis, going to the restaurants on Fripp, going to the swimming pools and the fitness room. Club cards are required to enjoy any of the Fripp Island Resort amenities and they are available for purchase with this property. If you opt to purchase cards, a new 12.8% resort fee based on the rental amount before taxes, cleaning and other fees will be charged in addition to the cost of the individual Club cards. Each guest 13 years or older must carry an amenity card to access the Club's facilities. There are a few places on Fripp Island that you do not need an amenity card. SpringTide Market is at the front of the island that has a large menu at their deli. From breakfast sandwiches to family BBQ meals, there is a lot to choose from. There is also a deli at the Marina that serves sandwiches and salads. The Fripp Ship and Mango stores are fun to go into for your perfect souvenir. 4-seater golf cart included Pets - allowed If this property offers club cards for access to Fripp Island Resort amenities, a new 12.8% of the total rent resort fee will be charged in addition to the cost of the individual club cards. After booking this property, VRBO will charge their service fee separately and then the reservation will be transferred to FrippIslandStay where the property owner or manager will charge your credit card for the other items seen in the quote provided by VRBO. The refundable security deposit if applicable will be included in the final payment. You will also have the opportunity to purchase travel insurance and damage protection insurance on FrippIslandStay. We had a great vacation with ages from 3 to 80 in the house. My only not 5 star would be the comfort of furniture in main living areas, especially for the grandmothers, but otherwise the owners were so helpful with any questions and handling a A/C issue without interrupting any fun. Property is in rough shape (beat-up old furniture, squeaky beds) and the cleaning left a lot to be desired. For what we paid, we were expecting the property to be a bit nicer. Property management group was very responsive… I communicated with them about the cleaning issues and they responded right away. If you’re not looking for anything fancy and want to be walking distance to the beach, you will like this place. ##### zanne a. Since there is a separate apartment with a living room, kitchenette, bathroom, and bedroom, we found it to be convenient when traveling with teens who could stay in there and have their own space. The property was clean and comfortable and is a perfect location right across the street from the beach. It came with an electric golf cart in great condition, and tons and tons of beach chairs, body boards and other beach supplies. Great location, with the beach access almost directly across the street (one house down). The main living area and 3 bedrooms (and a bathroom for each bedroom) are on the top level, and there is a separate apartment on the ground level with its own entrance thru the garage that has a fridge, microwave (no stove) and 1 bedroom, 1 bath, and living area that we found perfect for the teens. The home was clean and comfortable. We had a few questions when we arrived and the management was very fast to respond. I would recommend this property and would stay again. :) ##### Erin H. Based upon the pictures, we were expecting a much nicer home. Overall it was average. Furniture was mismatched and not what was represented. The deck and outside areas were worn and dirty. Ceiling fans on the deck were old, off balance, and loud... could not use them. Not sure it had been thoroughly cleaned. Kitchen counter and bath tub/ shower was dirty. Needed some routine maintenance. The screen was torn on the front door. The deck door did not align with closure allowing some bugs in during the evening. The towel racks fell off the wall in all three bathrooms when towels were placed on them. Location on the island was nice. The use of the golf cart was a nice perk. Property manager was helpful assisted with a miscommunication concerning boat storage. Originally we were told we could keep a boat at the home, but learned upon arrival with the boat that the HOA does not allow boat storage at the homes.
