San Juan Island is famous for its beaches, and at low tide you can step off the sea wall on the property and walk across to explore to your heart's content. When you're done with your day, the sound of gently running water outside will lull you to sleep. Fiber internet connection allows your whole family to work or remote school. Constructed in 2018, the house is a cozy 1000 square feet with two bedrooms and a high end custom queen wall bed to the side of the living room. Full kitchen, washer, dryer and Internet access are all provided. The jewel of the space is the views from the living area and bedrooms across Jackson Beach to the south. They're unobstructed and unforgettable. You'll be located on one of the only saltwater rivers in the western United States, a fascinating natural oddity where fresh water melds with salt and then flows back with the tides. The house also contains a display of tools and arrowheads found at the nearby archaeological site dating from 2,500 to 5,000 years old. Other property owners have access to a nearby common areas but the guest yard and beach access is completely private. I am happy to be available if you have any needs regarding the space, but otherwise you'll be left to your privacy. Pets are welcome with the following policy: 1\. Pets must be in control on the property and stay within the property lines (yard is not enclosed) 2\. Pets must do no damage to the house. 3\. Pets are not allowed to sleep on the beds as it is often very difficult to ensure every hair is removed. 4\. All dog poop must be picked up from the yard, bags are supplied in the dispenser on the back deck. The location is great however not within walking distance to the downtown with kids in our opinion. It was a very fast drive though. The location being right in the water was amazing. The house had comfortable beds and most kitchen items we needed as we cooked every meal (kid with allergy). The cleanliness could be improved upon. The floors weren’t very clean. The wash machine was very dirty and we were planning on using for our baby’s clothing items but couldn’t even after my husband spent about 45 mins deep cleaning the rubber gasket and drum. The location was convenient to the town, being right on water was so fun, and the house itself was clean and full of games for the kids. The owner was very easy to get hold of. We had e bikes and found the ride to the town was great. The ride out to the cattle point light house was a little precarious as the road was very busy and not the best for bikers. A mile from Friday Harbor and a very unique location on the water. We saw an otter, seal, eagles and heron sitting out in the chairs adjacent to the water. ##### David H. The wildlife we saw right from our bedroom windows was amazing!!! Eagles, great blue herons, a couple of loons, kingfishers, numerous water birds, deer, and a couple of foxes too! We brought our kayaks and had a lot of fun paddling right from this property. Highly recommend!!! ##### Sandy W.
