The Haven pairs modern luxury with accessibility and the outdoors: a full bathroom, a kitchenette, a built-in nook, and a queen sleeper sofa. Just outside, a deck and a semi-private seating area surrounded by string lights invites you to unwind by the fire. Unwind Nordic Spa is on-site at the campground, a short walk from your cabin — discounted passes sold separately.



The Space:

Our small, luxury glamping campground sits tucked among tall northern pines at the edge of a sweep of rolling sand dunes — a quiet, serene sanctuary from the rush of modern life. Just minutes from Freeport, a short drive to the ocean or Portland and the harbors and lighthouses of the mid-coast, the Desert of Maine Campground feels like a world away from it all. Right onsite, the Unwind Nordic Spa deepens the escape: cycle between the sauna's dry heat, a warm hot tub, and a bracing cold plunge — a contrast ritual that leaves you loose, clear-headed, and thoroughly present. Every part of the experience is designed to help you unwind, slip into a sense of stillness and wonder, and wake up (again) to the magic of being human.

Guest Access:

You will have the entire cabin on a dedicated campsite, all to yourself. In addition, you will have access to our renovated, cedar bath house which is just steps away, with individual showers. However, please note that the bath house is an older building which is not accessible.
