Nestled just two blocks off of Fredericksburg's Main Street, Marktplatz, and community pool, the charming historic 1870s Rosebud on Schubert is a quintessential Fredericksburg home to unwind with friends and family after a day of shopping and wine tasting. Enjoy your morning coffee on the upper or lower patio rocking chairs and kick your feet up around the fire pit after an easy stroll home from dinner. This home is ideal for a family gathering, a bridal party or couples getaway.

This designer home sleeps up to 8 adults with additional room for children, with two queen beds outfitted in luxury linens in each of the spacious bedrooms, and a third room with a daybed and trundle to accommodate any combination of family, friends and small children. The home features a downstairs powder room and two full en suite bathrooms on the upper level, as well as ample closet space for luggage storage. Yard games and a foosball table will keep even the most active guests busy, and board games are available for play in the living room that comfortably seats six people. Although we encourage guests to unplug, a separate open concept office nook provides a place to quickly catch up on emails.

Other amenities of the home include a fully stocked kitchen, complete laundry room, a variety of coffees with cream and sugar, a bottle of Fredericksburg wine, cocktail essentials and a dining room to gather for meals. A pack 'n' play is available, along with sound machines, extra pillows and all of your essential toiletries.

Guest access

Guests will have access to the entire main home, expansive backyard and carriage house, as well as private gated parking on the property. The property boasts an huge, private backyard on the nearly 1/2 acre original Fredericksburg Townlot.

Historic homes are full of unique qualities like narrow stairways and water closets and raised floor moldings between rooms. Please watch your step! Because of the home's proximity to Fredericksburg's Main Street, some evening noise is possible.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property! It was 4 college friends who have known each other for 53 years and it was a great place to reunite and have so much fun! The house was great, the host was so easy to communicate with, and we had a ball. Would highly recommend this property! We had a wonderful stay at this charming old historic home just a short walk from Main Street! The house is full of character with thoughtful touches that made it both comfortable and inviting. We came to celebrate a family birthday and it was the perfect spot—plenty of space for everyone to relax, gather, and enjoy our time together.The location couldn’t be better—peaceful and private, yet just minutes on foot from the shops, restaurants, and fun on Main Street. The home itself was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable.Our family made lasting memories here, and we’d happily come back again. Best stay ever!

So clean, so roomy, great location and all the little extras throughout the house were so appreciated!! The best smelling soaps, shampoos, and conditioners…Fresh flowers, a complimentary bottle of wine and pastries! I have used VRBO many times and this was the absolute best place and best experience! We even had a small issue with yellow jackets on the top balcony and just wanted to make the owners aware thinking they would have someone come spray after check out. Nope! They had someone come spray that day!! Great customer service!!

Wonderful stay!

We spent 4 nights and 5 days with our 3 yr old, 7 month old and grandparents. The house is very accommodating and relaxing plus so close and walking distance to Main st. which is a major plus. This is a great property not only bc of location but the hosts were great. We will be coming back!

Girls Annual Christmas Trip

The home was incredible. The extra little amenities, pastries, and coffee’s were a plus along with a bottle of wine. The cleanliness and location were perfect. Historic Gem in Fredericksburg

My friends and I can’t say enough great things about this gorgeous historic home. Convenient onsite parking, huge backyard, easy to use fire pit and comfortable porch rockers are just a few of the outdoor amenities we appreciated. Inside all of the modern conveniences you would want in a tastefully decorated home with beautiful original stone walls. Comfortable beds let us get plenty of rest after our short walk home from Main Street. You are never really sure what you are going to get when you book online, but this house was a home run and we will be back soon!

Cutest. House. Ever.

We LOVED the house! The scents, decor, & vibe were fabulous, my wife couldn’t stop raving and wants to decorate our home the same. Just a short walk to Main Street and all the things. The yard is spacious and the foosball table in the separate structure was fun for the kids. Is next to a restaurant but no noise issues at all. Highly recommend!

Awesome Historic Property

My adult daughters and I stayed at this property in Fredericksburg for a girls’ weekend in June 2023. We did a winery tour and ate at several restaurants (that we walked to from our Vrbo) and were so impressed with the quality of the wine and food. Such a fun and friendly area to visit! We loved this historic home and its location. The best part of the wknd was staying at this Vrbo! Such a beautiful, historic home. We were welcomed with fresh cinnamon rolls, a bouquet of roses, and a bottle of wine. Thank you so much, Bethany!

Absolutely perfect!

My husband and I rent lots of homes traveling and this one was top notch! I can’t say enough great things about not only the house but also Bethany.
