Mar 27, 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### One of the best rental properties I’ve stayed in I was souring on staying in rental homes until this one redeemed my confidence. The location and home was stunning, but more than that was all the attention to detail. An abundance of towels and small supplies we all need when we are away from home was everywhere in the house. The check out procedure was uncomplicated and made what is a stressful time easy. On top of all that, the house was exceptionally clean. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. ##### Ben B. We selected a filter for a place with a fireplace. We even asked if they provided wood and they responded that they did not and we stated we would bring our own. When we arrived the wood burning stove has a sign that stated - It is not a working stove. The manual stated to not use it. Please correct the listing. Other than that it is a 10. ##### Lisa W. Peaceful with hummingbirds everywhere and deer coming to the feeder Cons: about 10 minutes to downtown, opposite direction from wineries Issues: guessing that batteries are not changed in the smoke detectors each year…they went off all night and the one that needed to come down was too high to reach. They weren’t just chirping, they were actually going off so we did not get a lot of sleep that night. Called the 24 hour management line and didn’t receive a call back until the next afternoon. Internet also did not work the last day of our stay. Nov 29, 2024 #### Look no further Wow!!!! I really am trying to think of one negative but it has been difficult. Ok...maybe the noise of the highway while sitting on the porch. But it didn't stop us from sitting on the porch! And inside we heard nothing! From the moment we stepped into the house, with the music playing, and the view of the backyard...we thought, we don't even need to go to wineries!! EVERYTHING, and I mean everything was absolutely perfect. I don't think I have ever stayed in a better place. Super clean, comfy beds, well stocked kitchen....all we could possibly want! We will keep this on our list and we never need to look any further for a place to stay. If you want to be in the midst of Main Street hub bub, this is not the place for you. If you want to get away after a day of shopping and wineries, you will want to retreat back to Honey Hill. We actually couldn't wait to return and relax at the end of our day. It is only a 10 min drive to downtown Fredericksburg. Seriously, The Back 20 has it all going on!!! Thank you for opening your house to strangers!!
