"Stayed for a week in this cottage with fabulous views. Very clean and just about everything you need. We were only missing a corkscrew and egg cups, but anything else you need is there. Not quite as homely as we would have hoped as the cottage is quite sparse, but still had a wonderful time. Great to be able to access the canal and take a nice long walk to Neptune’s staircase from the cottage!"

"For a 4 star hotel this was appalling. During our 3 night stay we didn’t see one member of hotel staff. No reception (self checkin & out) room was dirty I had to clean the toilet when we arrived and the cups but there was no one to tell. Rang reception several times no one picks up. Went down whole area in darkness. You would have thought the hotel was closed. Dinning room closed breakfast in attached bistro, thank goodness this was lovely. "

"We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Alexandra. The room size was good, the bathroom was small but still OK. The bed was comfortable enough. The meals were good and plentiful. Breakfast was also good. No issues with parking, plenty around the back, we were lucky enough to get one at the front. We had an issue with a wrong meal bill booked to our room, but Management looked into it and we had no payment to make. The town is just a short walk from the hotel"
