Stay here if you want a secluded retreat in nature, with easy access to hiking trails, gorgeous views, and charming towns. Listen to the sounds of the farm animals while you relax in the hot tub or on the enclosed porch. Beautifully decorated with a fire pit, and grill. Within 30 minutes from all the major attractions that the Shenandoah Valley offers such as Luray Caverns, Shenandoah National Park, Vineyards. Go paddling on the Shenandoah River this summer! LOCATION: This home is located in Fort Valley, Virginia. The closest towns are Edinburg, Woodstock, and Luray, which are filled with awesome places to eat like Woodstock Cafe and Woodstock Brewery. This property is located 30 minutes away from Shenandoah National Park and Luray Caverns. Make sure to visit all the close by local wineries, like Muse Winery and Cave Ridge Vineyard, and book a trip with Shenandoah Wine Tours! BEDROOMS: 2 independent bedrooms 1 queen bed 1 full bed with a pull out twin bed BATHROOM: 1 full bathroom Equipped with Shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, towels and other amenities HIGHLIGHTS: Hot Tub Mountain View Enclosed Porch Fully equipped kitchen Premium coffee Smart TV so you can log into any streaming app and find your favorite shows right where you left them! Ceiling fans in all bedrooms Washer/dryer space Hangers to hang clothing Tons of natural light The Sunrise Cottage is located in the quaint town of Fort Valley. The drive off of the cottage is absolutely lovely, however please note that you will lose service 5-10 mins away from the property. You can join the wifi when you arrive. Please note, that the only wifi available in Fort Valley is satellite, therefore it will be affected by any severe weather. You will have access to the full space except the shed which we use for storage. I cannot wait for you to explore this wonderful part of the world! While dogs are allowed at the property, the property is not fully enclosed therefore we do require them to be leashed. We also also ask that if a pet is left indoors by themselves, that they are kenneled in order to prevent any damage to the property while not under human supervision. Please also note that due to this being in a rural location the internet is extremely spotty especially at night. This is more of a remote stay and a perfect way for you to get away from the busy city and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature :) If you are coming during the winter, a 4WD is HIGHLY recommended. The road up to the house is stunning but also can feel windy for those who are not used to driving in the mountains, especially if conditions are icy. We always recommend that all guests PURCHASE TRIP INSURANCE in the event of a cancellation. GUEST RENTAL AGREEMENT, SECURITY HOLD (Which is not a security deposit), & ID VERIFICATION REQUIRED Hi! We are your welcoming hosts and we look forward to hosting you. This place is extraordinary and does require guests to complete a Guest Rental Agreement, ID verification, and Security Hold (which is not a security deposit) in order to receive Arrival Instructions. The decor was very much our vibe, but as beautiful as the inside was, we spent a ton of time in the screened-in porch and the hot tub. The views of the mountains are truly spectacular - the pictures in the listing do not do justice to just how pretty the location is. We went on some great hikes in some nearby parks. We also enjoyed taking a short stroll down to the goat farm next door. So many rentals in the region feel a little scary and are unattractive. This was the complete opposite! We found it. We loved your home. The hot tub was my favorite. We did a bit of hiking and it really helped with the soreness. There was a full moon during our stay. The moon rise and sun rise were outstanding. The beds were the most comfortable I have had while renting a home. Olivia was very attentive. She would send us information on things to do. Even driving to this property was amazing! Set back in the hills, yet close to everything that you could need for convenience! The home itself is bright, welcoming and cozy. Modern yet had a really cool country vibe. The short walk to the fire pit next to the babbling stream, the hot tub with Mountain views, the comfortable deck with a grill, screened in porch ! Seriously, everywhere we looked inside and out of the house was awesome! The beds were very comfortable and smelled hotel clean! The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and condiments etc. A short walk down a nostalgic dirt road takes you to a farm with goats milling about. So peaceful and quiet! There was some noise from the nearby road, but with the stream and the sounds of nature, it was not something we noticed. The host was extremely prompt in responding to any inquiry we had. Shenandoah national park, Luray caverns, many sweet little breweries and diners, historical points of interest - this is definitely a hidden gem if you are looking for a peaceful getaway.
