The cottage was so comfy and perfect for the 2 of us. It was close in town but very quiet. It was very easy to communicate with managers and we had no problems. Though it is located in the heart of Ft Payne there is a feel of being in the country because of a wooded area across from and directly behind the unit. Ft Payne is a perfect central location to view and visit the surrounding area. We went to Scottsboro for Unclaimed Baggage and lunch at The Liberty Restaurant; made several trips to Mentone to eat at The Wildflower Cafe; drove to Buck's Pocket State Park and several more day excursions and were always with a 40 minute drive back to Ft Payne. The unit is furnished with a full sized refrigerator, a two burner hot plate, a toaster oven and coffee maker. There is ample cookware and dishware to prepare and serve simple meals. Sleeping quarters are in the loft which has ample head space to stand upright. There is a daybed rather than a sofa in the area that suffices as a living room. No cable TV is available but the wifi allows streaming of subscribed services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. Our host was hospitable and quick to respond to any calls or text messages. ##### Betty S.
