There you will find the Gulf, where you can sun, play, swim, enjoy sunrise runs along the beach, and dazzling sunsets at night. Several beach resorts are currently offering day passes so you can spend a day or two enjoying their pools and other beachfront amenities. Many on-island restaurants/bars have re-opened, food trucks are popping up, and the island's Publix grocery store is now open again - and only .9 miles from the house - great when you've had a long day and out and about and don't a long trek for groceries! Fort Myers is also home to multiple public golf courses and the Spring Training facilities of the Minnesota Twins and the Boston Red Sox. Nearby Coconut Point and the Miromar Outlets are great shopping and dining destinations; and we can't leave out the tony Waterside shops and 5th Avenue in Naples - fun whether you shop, eat or just look! The pool heater thermostat is set to 85 degrees. However, local weather, sun, rain and daytime & night time temperatures will affect the actual pool temperatures and a static temperature of 85 degrees is not guaranteed. No pets allowed. Beautifully decorated, cleanest property we have rented and we are medical people and are very particular. Close to beach and Publix. Great neighborhood. Pool/hot tub was perfect. Needed larger coffee pot and provided immediately along with coffee and filters. Hesitate to say more as we want to come back!! Oh and beautiful flower arrangement upon arrival. The home is well stocked and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the proximity to the beach. There were plenty of chairs, a beach wagon, and a couple of umbrellas for taking over to the beach in the morning. We found so many beautiful seashells on the beach. It was an easy walk back to the house before the hottest part of the day, which we could spend in the lovely pool. Fort Myers was pretty quiet while we were there. There is still a lot of rebuilding happening. We'd love to return in a few years to see what has changed. ##### Corey J. The pictures on VRBO didn’t do it Justice. Beautiful pool, canal in the back (we actually seen a dolphin one morning) views of the gulf from one of the bathrooms. Less than a 3 min walk to the beach. The property manager was responsive. FM beach is still on the rebound and will be for some time. The beach is stunning and just a short block away The house has everything we needed. Our only challenge was the grill (which is a George Forman type electric grill and not a BBQ / gas grill. With two little ones, We had planned to grill for dinner and were not able to (costly expectation) and getting a table at restaurants was challenging and kept the babies up later than we would have liked. ##### Suzanne n. Our group (3 couples) has rented several properties on Fort Myers Beach - this house has it all. It was very clean, the beds are very comfortable (might think about bringing your own pillow if thicker foam pillows are not for you), the kitchen has everything you should need, plenty of beach equipment, comfortable furniture on the deck and around the pool, and just an overall great set up. Check in and check out process was very easy and the management team reached out a couple of times during the week. The pool and hot tub are great and plenty of wildlife around the canal to keep the group entertained. The pictures on the site are accurate and everything in the house is in excellent condition. Short walk to the beach. The lanai was lovely. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, silverware, etc.The elevator had a sign that it was not to be used without prior approval. It was a long walk up the stairs with heavy suitcases and groceries. There seemed to be some electrical issues. The remote controlled lights in the living room and lanai were difficult to turn off once they were turned on. The solenoid in the elevator door would randomly start activating the door open light including a very loud clicking noise. It would eventually stop, but was very annoying. The first time it happened we texted the building manager, and he said he would try to get a technician out to look at it. When it stopped, I texted him that it was OK. When it started making noise again, I texted again, and he said he would try to find a technician, but no one ever came to look at it. I get it that 2 hurricanes hit Fort Meyers beach in October and that it is difficult to arrange for maintenance, but I wish we had been warned about these electirical issues. ##### Kim L. They were working hard and did a very good job, but it was inconvenient waiting around while they finished. If you’re coming to Fort Myers Beach to enjoy a beautiful home that is situated within a very easy and short walk to the beach, ride bikes, and kayak the canals, this is the house for you. We would NOT recommend it if swimming in the pool or using the hot tub is on your to-do list. The first four days were spent contacting management about getting the pool and hot tub heated and waiting around for people to help. No manual or instructions were provided, the pool maintenance man was unable to figure out how to help, we were sent YouTube videos and told to reset circuit breaker, none of which worked. We were told a repair man was coming, but he never showed up and management never followed up either. Needless to say, no one swam in the pool our entire stay which was very disappointing. This house has everything you need for a week of fun at the beach! Bikes, kayaks, beach gear, pool gear and fishing gear! There was plenty of room with each having our own BR and attached bathroom. The kitchen was perfect and outdoor patio accommodated all of us for cook in dinners. The pool and surroundings was so relaxing and fun. Great pool - we all loved it and were there most of the days. And the location was ideal. Very close to the beach, Publix, and restaurants.
