It's just a short walk in either direction to the Gulf beaches and well-appointed with beach gear, cruiser bicycles, and thoughtful extras. Located mid-island, you're an on a quiet side street where you can truly get away from it all to relax and recharge. The public beach access is a few minutes' walk to the west of the house, either south to Hercules Drive or north to Connecticut Street. There you will find the Gulf, where you can sun, play, swim, enjoy sunrise runs along the beach, and dazzling sunsets at night. Several beach resorts are currently offering day passes so you can spend a day or two enjoying their pools and other beachfront amenities. Many on-island restaurants/bars have re-opened, food trucks are popping up, and the island's Publix grocery store is now open again. Fort Myers is also home to multiple public golf courses and the Spring Training facilities of the Minnesota Twins and the Boston Red Sox. Mar 2, 2025 #### Fabulous location We had a wonderful time in Ft. Myers Beach. The house was in a perfect location, only 1/2 block off the beach and half way down the beach. This was important because traffic going north off the island was terrible, but going south was easy and Bonita Springs is a nice town with good restaurants. The house was clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed, including beach towels, beach chairs, a canopy tent and a cart to carry it all. We will rent again if we go back. Highly recommend. ##### Leslie H. Very clean and well appointed. The bikes were great because vehicle traffic in March is quite heavy. We were able to get to the shops and eateries at the north end of the island and the Publix just a half mile south with no problems. The kitchen was a bit dated, but all other rooms had been updated and were decorated very nicely. Beach chairs, a cart, and cooler were furnished, along with bicycles, which our kids used often. Apr 5, 2024 #### I was amazed I had not been to Fort Myers Beach for decades, and I had some trepidation after hurricane Ian. While the island was devastated, the resiliency of the locals is very evident as businesses and residences alike recover. Which leads me to this rental. It was almost completely re-done post hurricane, and most of the neighbors are working their way back to normalcy. The beach remains perfect, and it is only a three-minute walk to the surf. For getting around, there are good bikes. For the stroll to the beach, there is a useful wagon to haul chairs and everything else you need. The house was fully stocked and has two porches for perfect outdoor enjoyment in shade or sun. Spent a couple of weeks here in January. This was great place to stay. There are 2 decks, one for sunrises and the other for sunsets. Each bedroom had a queen bed and individual TV. The master had its own bath. The house itself is spacious and maintained. There was a screened in seating area with TV and fridge on the first level that protects you from the bugs and occasional rain. Lots of small and differing seating areas around the property. There were a number of bikes to choose from as well as beach gear. The beach access is right at the end of the block and the neighborhood was quiet and relaxing. Two great restaurants on the beach a short walk north and the grocery store only 1/2 mile south. Trams and trolleys run along the main street at the end of the block. Just a great place to get away to and relax and have fun. Absolutely did not want to leave this place.
