Do you love to play in nature but still have our creature comforts? This A frame in the Ocala National Forest is the spot. There are 2 springs both 5 minutes from the house, Salt Springs & Silver Glen Springs. Beautiful Juniper Springs, Silver Springs and Alexander Springs are all a hop, skip, and jump away. This fully loaded A frame is stocked with a shed full of fishing gear. Mosey down to the boathouse and try your luck fishing right in the backyard at the canal. There is a blue notebook under the coffee table with general information. It includes the springs which there are TWO Salt and Sliver Glen either way from house not more than 10 minuets. The small town of Salt Springs has a little restaurant, bait shop, grocery store, ice cream stand, Dollar General, and a Subway at the gas station. Palatka and Silver Springs are about 20-30 minutes away for shopping. I like going to Silver Springs-Ocala for shopping and eating out. Mount Dora is a great town to visit as well. They have a HUGE flea market on the weekend. This is the perfect place to explore Florida springs. The views from the windows were gorgeous, especially on cold early mornings with a cup of coffee. One minor suggestion is that the light switches in the kitchen and the main hanging light were a little difficult to find so it will really help if they were labeled with bright markers.
