Monastery 17 is a beautiful top floor apartment , overlooking Loch Ness , just perfect for monster spotting
Sleeps up to 7 with 2 bedrooms , a sofa bed in the lounge and a fold out chair with 2 bathrooms , All linen included

The main bathroom is the star of the show , As you can bath overlooking Loch Ness , it has the largest window on site for the most spectacular view . Simply Breathtaking

There is also free wi-fi and BT Vision in the apartment with Netflix films

The Kitchen is very compact but has everything you should need, including a cooker & hob, dishwasher, washer/dryer etc.

A point to note : due to the history nature of the building , there is no lift , And being on the top floor, there are a number of steps , but well worth it !

Nous avons passé un super séjour dans cette magnifique abbaye sur les bords du Loch Ness. Une petite impression d'avoir enfin reçu notre lettre pour Poudlard ! Grand logement, joliment décoré, bien placé tout était parfait (sauf le chauffage que nous n'avons pas réussi à faire fonctionner, le jour du départ il ne faisait plus très chaud dans l'appartement). A savoir, il y a pas mal d'escalier pour accéder à l'appartement et pas d'ascenseur. Je vous recommande de réserver un créneau pour la piscine car se baigner dans une ancienne chapelle est vraiment une expérience atypique.

Extraordinaire

C'est certes pas donné, mais le lieu est extraordinaire (ancien monastère, vaut la visite), et l'appartement est extrêment vaste (heureusment que le ménage est compris dans la loc) et beau. La vue sur le Loch Ness est magnifique (surtout depuis la salle de bain). A noter que le chauffage marche le matin et le soir mais on peut le relancer manuellement (même en mai les nuits sont fraiche). Mike vous accueillera et vous expliquera tout sur l'appartement, les commerce de Fort Augustus (il y a tout), il prend bien le temps de tout expliquer. Penser à réserver un plouf à la piscine qui se trouve dans la chapelle, cela vaut le coût. De loin notre meilleur hébergement pendant nos 11 nuits en Ecosse (le seul dont on va se souvenir c'est sûr). Un défaut? le micro-onde :-) qui est très compliqué pour pas grand chose. En conclusion nous conseillons cette hébergement sans aucune hésitation.

Nous étions 4 adultes et 2 enfants : nous avons obligés de disposer un matelas par terre dans une chambre pour les 2 enfants car le matelas de 3cm ne permet pas de dormir au salon ! La description initiale de l'appartement devrait signaler cet inconvénient ! Mike a été parfait pour la réception et la description de l'appartement très bien équipé ( à part le couchage dans le canapé). Site remarquable...

Very nice place

Endroit superbe dans une ancienne abbaye. L'appartement était très spacieux pour nous et nos 3 enfants très bien équipe (lave vaisselle lave linge wifi netflix...). Fort Augustus est un village sympathique au bord du lochness possibilité de faire de belles excursions (skye, Glencoe,...) Seul petit bemol suite à un incendie la piscine etait fermée...

The property was everything it promised! Views of the loch were exceptional. The kitchen and living area was welcoming, and we cooked several meals together. Made use of the swimming pool, which was outstanding! Would have liked to have had pool towels and or robes in the unit for use at the pool. Would’ve liked to have had some extra trash bags as we took out our own trash but had no trash bags to replace. Loved the charm of the whole property, walked all around on the trails. It is well manicured and maintained. Very clean and obviously well taken care of. Overall, we were very pleased with the property and would definitely stay there again.

I had a fun stay at the monastery in Fort Augustus along with my wife and 3 kids. The property itself is beautiful and the activities for the kids were exactly what we came for. Whether it's spending time at the pool/sauna/steam room or playing chess in the courtyard. The apartment was well furnished and fit all of us well. The Spar in town allows you to pick up food (more than just necessities). Great communication with the team who run the property leading up to our arrival and then again at our departure.

Unterkunft in tollen Ambiente und viel Drumherumangebot

Check-in war problemlos. Die Küchenausstattung reicht für die wichtigsten Urlaubskochereien. Es gibt eine wirklich tolle Außenanlage mit Tenniscourt (2TennisschlägerBälle liegen in der Wohnung bereit), Fußballspiel-und Badminton-Möglichkeiten, es stehen Boccia-und Cricketequipment zur Verfügung). Der Pool ist nicht riesig, macht aber Spaß. In dem Objekt befinden sich wohl Wohnungen von ca. 100 Eigentümern. Unsere Wohnung war vernünftig eingerichtet, die ein oder andere Ecke kann gerne so langsam mal nachgebessert werden. Man sieht, dass der Eigentümer nicht selbst ab und zu darin wohnt, dann wären ein paar Schrauben schon mal wieder festgezogen wurden. Aber alles in allem eine tolle Unterkunft mit super Ausblick und definitiv einen Aufenthalt wert. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt.

Unique and wonderful

We had a wonderful time at the Abbey. The host and staff were so accommodating, adjusting their schedule due to our delays and highly responsive. The views were wonderful and our three boys loved playing chess in the courtyard and wandering the grounds. A great location for excursions to Inverness, Ullapool, Fort Williams, or to just relax. Wonderful cafe nearby at the lochs. Very memorable trip and would come again.

Monastery 17

The location and accommodations were fantastic! Our biggest concern, the stairs, was a nonissue, and we are all seniors. I would stay in the monastery again, should I be lucky enough to return to Scotland.

A Vacation to Remember

This was the perfect spot for us. Located right on Loch Ness, this beautiful and stunning property was peaceful, clean, and quiet. Located about 45-50 minutes from Inverness, the Monastery was situated in a gorgeous town with some shops and restaurants.

Unique Holiday Experience

Beautiful location and amazing place. 72 stairs to our apartment was not really identified ( we knew there were some!!!!) The apartment had adequate facilities for our stay but none of the little extras some places have had in the pantry cupboard. Our promised Scottish biscuits were not shortbread but sticky marshmallow and chocolate. Well heated. Location fantastic for all we came to see in the area.

Not great, but location was what we needed.

While the building and surroundings were so cool and beautiful the actual sleeping unit was disappointing. The beds/matresses are super uncomfortable and not clean. The pull out couch was broken and dirty. The linens were not clean and had staines. Would not stay again.

Such as, you will need to text the care taker at ____, 3 days before arrival to obtain keys and to set up your tour.
