Dog friendly. Enjoy a relaxing time on a quiet 58-acre lake in the foothills of the Adirondacks. Play in the pedal boat, canoe or on one of the Stand-Up Paddleboards, swim or fish. You can even use the paddleboards like open kayaks with the detachable seats. Spend an evening around the campfire eating S’mores, telling ghost stories and making memories. This unique property was actually built and used as a vacation rental in the 1930s until 1954\. The soothing atmosphere of the large screened-in porch is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or while gathered around with family and friends over dinner while enjoying the beautiful views of Copeland Pond. Take in the views of the lake and the mountains while cuddled in one of the rocking chairs, or just grab a book and relax. This is a smoke-free property. We read, swam, cooked, and hiked. It was idyllic, rustic without being too remote to run into town for groceries. Clean and well-maintained by the hosts without sacrificing the magic. The hosts were available but totally unobtrusive. Our family of four and a dog had a lovely stay. The inside was spacious and well-equipped. (The water pressure in the shower was not the greatest, but as expected out in the woods.) The screened-in porch was wonderful and offered a gorgeous view of the outdoors. The dock with water access was the icing on the cake. The pond was suitable for swimming, fishing, and using the included water craft. Communication with the owners was always prompt and pleasant. The screened porch had a lovely view of the pond, fun seating choices, and a large table for meals and games. We enjoyed the paddle boards, pedal boat and canoe. The dock also had many chairs for lounging and enjoying the view. We would definitely return if ever in the area! ##### Laura R. The cabin is a little small, but fine for a group of four or five in a pinch. The location is a little remote - it's in the countryside, so don't expect a lot of stores to be close. The screened in porch is glorious to sit and relax on any time of day, and the dock and lake are beautiful especially in the morning. It's close to Lake George, and anything in the area of Lake George is reasonably accessible. The cabin was quaint and clean. The beds were comfy. The porch and dock have ample chairs and seating, so bringing your own seating is not necessary. ##### David E. I liked the set up of the cabin, it was clean and homey and so many of the little things were made available such as coffee, utensils. The boys loved the paddle boards and swimming in the pond. The location is quaint but close enough to Lake George or Fort Ann to go out for dinner after enjoying some peace and quiet all day. The cabin is well stocked with everything you’d need to make a meal - honestly probably the best equipped rental property we’ve stayed in. ##### Glenna F. The owners do a super job maintaining the property. Supplied with all the basics for comfort and fun. Even the hummingbird feeder was full when we arrived. Nice quiet large pond. We needed a quick, quiet getaway. Great spot very quiet and relaxing. Cabin was perfect for our quick trip. The hosts provide everything you need inside and out. The cabin had everything we could possibly need, great comfortable screened in porch to enjoy meals and enjoy the view of the pond and nature. The dock was so much fun complete with canoe, paddle boat and stand up kyaks. My husband spend hours fishing off the dock and i enjoyed soothing canoe trips around the pond. Couldn't ask for a better location if you want to go and do things in Lake George, which my kids took advantage of. Linda and her husband we excellent hosts, extremely responsive if we needed anything. Our only regret is we didn't take advantage of the great fire pit to make smores. Oh well, maybe next year. Highly recommend this cabin if you want a real Adirondack experience. ##### Joanne V. It was great having access to the water vessels off a very nice dock to relax on. We fished, we swam, and floated around the lake a lot. The cabin was nicely appointed and rustic as described. We enjoyed everything about it, we used the paddle board, the row boat for fishing and navigating the pond. Our dogs enjoyed a few swims themselves. The fire pit was a hit among other things. The home is fully equipped with items for the stay, so you can pack light. It’s a beautiful place to recharge from the city life. We recommend 100%. The owner was attentive and easy to communicate.
