Macdonald Forest Hills Resort

"We stayed in one of the apartments, rather than the hotel, and it was absolutely perfect. Very spacious, clean and so well-equipped, particularly for someone like me who enjoys cooking for a family. The view from the living room/balcony was totally stunning. The playground could do with a bit of maintenance and there was a net missing from one of the tennis courts, which was a shame, as the other court was taken when we wanted to play. The bar and bistro menu was pricey. Swimming pool and leisure facilities were awesome and we spent so much time in the pool as the weather was very disappointing but what can you expect in Scotland! If you do get some sun wet heartily recommend a day trip to Luss and kayaking on Loch Lomond."

"Green green green this place has to be seen seen seen., lovely lovely hosts who made us fit in to a place we thought was out our depth., THIS PLACE TOOK OUR BREATH!!! On the doorstep of a national park full of beauty they both certainly did they're duty by keeping us fed watered and fruity (Angies fruit at breakfast)., I might add a breakfast to die for so we promise we'll back for more The best hosts we've had so far you both are a credit to hospitality keep up the excellent work and hopefully see you both soon (Oh Shaun steak was fab gravy fab chips fab I just don't eat at night as it lies in my stomach over night that's why I didn't have breakfast., orange juice did the trick😆) Angie/Fraser"

"Faodail was perfect for our short stay. Laura’s welcome on arrival was warm, authentic, and she was very helpful with information about the surrounding locale. The property, I can say, was one if the cleanest that I have stayed at which I loved. The location for walks, both long and short, surrounded by forest and a beautiful little loch thrown in for the dog - was ideal 😊. A short walk into Aberfoyle with a great dog friendly cafe was useful for us and larger places to visit within short driving distances. Myself, my daughter, grandchild and dog had a wonderful, relaxing visit to the area."
