The beautiful sunset is of course an unforgettable experience, and the town centre of Fonyod offers numerous shopping opportunities. On Wednesdays and Saturdays there is the popular Fonyod jumper market, which owes its name to the sale of numerous jumpers in the 1970s. Today, the offer is diverse. The atmosphere on the return trips of the last excursion boats is understandably usually quite cheerful and exuberant, and a visit to a spa is also an unforgettable experience for many tourists. The most popular and best-known thermal baths in the region are the natural thermal forest lake in Heviz with a temperature of 35 degrees Celsius, the thermal bath in Zalakaros and the thermal bath in Csisztapuszta, which can even be reached by a narrow-gauge railway from Fonyod. The thermal baths usually also offer massages and therapeutic treatments, and on less sunny days a trip to Keszthely is also recommended.
