Our unit features heart pine flooring throughout, a Sony 5.1 Digital Surround Sound Theater with a 60" Sony Bravia TV in the living room and a 42" Sony Bravia TV in the bedroom with bunks, HD DirectTV, Wi-Fi, new appliances, tons of natural light, and an eclectic mix of comfortable designer furniture and decor. The layout is extremely spacious, with the living room, dining area and kitchen area all connecting together without walls. There is a large porch out front, and a small one out back, from which you can see the ocean. A great place to find some solitude. The unit is located right behind Bert's Market, which is the local 24 hour grocery store and deli so if you arrive and find you are missing something, odds are Bert's will have it, and you are only footsteps away. (We can also arrange to have your unit PRESTOCKED with groceries. Just mention it.) You are also only one block from Center St., the heart of Folly Beach's commercial district, with a great variety of shopping and delicious food. In addition to the unit, guest are welcome to enjoy the communal outdoor kitchen, grill, outdoor fireplace and out door tv with cafe light We are locals, and are very responsive for any questions or issues that may come up. Folly is an eclectic barrier island to Historic Charleston. Artist, musicians, surfers, and regular folk abound. Folly takes pride in welcoming people from all walks of life. The unit is centrally located, only one block from Center St, where the shops and restaurants are and right behind Bert's. So if you want to just walk to everything you can or you can rent a golf cart of beach cruiser to explore the rest of the island. Uber, your car or a rental can be used to visit Charleston or Johns Island. There is a $100 non-refundable pet fee if you'd like to bring your furry friend(s). All linens are provided, as well as utensils. We will usually provide at least two rolls of toilet paper and two rolls of paper towels. For short stays, this may be enough, but for longer stays you will have to provide the surplus for your need. Bert's Market can stock the unit with groceries with not service charge. They always answered any questions I had. The space was big and as a group we never felt like we were on top of each other. Its a very spacious and comfy place. It can definitely get a little loud having the restaurant next door but the live music there is an absolute vibe. My only issues were that the floor was a bit dirty, our feet looked like we had been walking barefoot outside all day. There was also only one or two rolls of toilet paper and I believe only one roll of papertowel. There were also no extra trash bags. Bert's is literally right there so it wasnt a huge deal, just a little inconvenient it wasnt stocked. I'd book here again in a heart beat though. Great location, nicely decorated and furnished, king size bed in master was firm and super comfortable. Needs a few minor updates, and attention to detail, basic handyman stuff and upkeep, with a little reinvestment back into the property. Bring your own beach stuff: chairs, umbrellas, bikes, boards...or you’ll be renting from down the street. Bert’s is bad ass, awesome having the bodega right downstairs! This large apartment style property was great for our anniversary weekend, not too loud, not too crazy, just the right amount of activity and proximity.
