The property is set on a large plot of beauty and peace, making this villa the perfect location for several couples or an extended family seeking a holiday in close proximity to Florence. The location could not be better, set on an idyllic hillside just 15 minutes (8 km) from Florence. This elegant country house is within an hour's drive of all of the beautiful hill towns and vineyards in the Chianti area.The villa offers easy access to both the center of Florence and the Chianti region, so you can alternate trips to the Uffizi and the Duomo with excursions to the countryside of Tuscany. The closest village, Grassina is at 3km away from the property. This town has several bars, grocery shops, bakery, butcher, and a hairdresser. Riding and a golf facilities are available at 4 km. from the house. A short unpaved road (200 m) leads to the farmhouse, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. The house has been fully restored last year and the attention to detail and beauty is remarkable. We have a large private garden with a large patio overlooking the Tuscan country side. You can enjoy sipping a glass of Chianti while barbecuing some Tuscan stake. The house is furnished with original 18th century furniture. Inside: Villa Poggio Secco boost some beautiful tiled floors and beamed ceilings, and is divided into two floors. The 3 double bedrooms all with a double beds are located on the ground floor. Plus an extra mezzanine with a private bathroom and luxury sofabed is located upstairs. Air conditioning system and underfloor heating available in the whole property. Bathrooms: A large bathroom downstairs with a bathtub and separate shower. A upstairs bathroom with a bathtub. Kitchen: Large open plan kitchen with dishwasher, oven, microwave and many other luxuries. Living Rooms: Large Living room with fireplace and a sofabed. Other: Tv room with access to the upstairs mezzanine with sofabed and bathroom. Parking: The villa has its own two private parking spots and private driveway. Cleaning/Towels/Linen/Maid service: All towels linen and cleaning of the flat included in the price. Accessibility Parking available in front of house, no stairs present, this allows for an easy access to this property. La maison est telle Que décrite et tres propre. Les chambres sont spacieuses, les lits comfortable. La literie et les seviettes sont de bonne qualité. Notre hôte, David, est facile à rejoindre si nécessaire. Il y a du stationjement pour deux voitures. David nous a fourni tous les renseignements nécessaires pour les transports vers Florence. Il est tres facile de stationner à l’extérieur de Florence et prendre un tram pour seulement quelques euros. Une voiture est nécessaire pour l’épicerie tout près à Grassina et il y a de bons petits restaurants à cet endroit.David a la réputation de super hôte et je suis d’accord à 100%. Le jardin de la maison a des arbres de pomme grenade et persimmon et des fleurs de toutes les couleurs. Les vues sont magnifiques et de nos fenêtres ont peut parfois voir les feux d’artifice depuis Florence. The views from the house and the back yard are extraordinary! The heated floors were a very comfortable feature. We didnt use the kitchen for very much cooking but it great for morning coffees and evening drinks and snacks. The host was very helpful in providing transportation information and always responded to our questions. The road to the house is definitely narrow and you have to be cautious and fully attentive. We had a car the whole time. When we went into Florence or to catch a train we would leave our car in a free parking lot about 3 minutes away and ride the bus into the city. Very convenient! From the start David sent all kinds of information. We had a few more questions about the bus and the area, David sent answers with in minutes with GPS maps. We loved the view, the Persimmon and Pomegranate from the trees in the yard were delicious. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms were awesome, everything was clean. We stayed at 3 other locations this trip and this was our favorite. My wife said the blow dryer was the best blow dryer in Italy. ##### Erick C. While access is kind of a challenge (need a car and the roads are narrow) the location is beautiful and very quiet. We decided it was a nice change from the crowds and noise of Florence and other tourist spots at the end of the day. The villa itself is exactly as portrayed in the pictures. Big, clean, well equipped for any stay. We found the best way to get into Florence was to drive into Grassina, park and take the local buses. Great access and saved a lot of money on parking. Enjoyed restaurants and other services in Grassina. ##### Dana S. Séjour de 6 nuits en septembre 2024 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Jeff W. 16 sept. 2024 Points forts : Propreté #### 3 Weeks in Luxury Tuscon Villa My wife and I chose this Villa based on the location as well as the pictures provided in the advertisement. The location was absolutely fabulous. My son and daughter in law joined us the first week, and all the excursions in the Tuscon region were within a hour to an hour and a half drive from the Villa. It was very convenient. Also there are a couple very small towns nearby where we did our grocery shopping as well as small specialty shops and restaurants. The Villa was very clean and had all the amenities' (Washer, Large Fridge, Dishwasher, Oven and Microwave. The property manager was great to work with as well as his sister who lived next door to the Villa. They both were always available to answer our questions and to make reservations and order us Pizza the first night we arrived late for check in. I would absolutely recommend this property, we loved it. ##### Jeff W. Delfina was very nice and helpful. The house is in a lovely quiet location with a great view, everything was comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped. We are glad we booked a car so we enjoyed the local food and wineries around. The streets are very narrow, but we eventually got used to driving.
