Located in a palazzo adjacent to Ponte Vecchio, with windows just over Arno River, this elegant apartment is in the very heart of Florence and a moment away from the most important monuments. The romantic Ponte Vecchio (“old bridge”) is few meters away and you can almost touch it from the windows. The Duomo Cathedral, one of the city’s most famous landmarks, designer shops, art galleries, and museums are all within 1 km. The building is located in the old city center of Florence, where all the major attractions are located. This area is no more than 1.5 km across: everything is within walking distance. The décor of the interior has been executed in the traditional Florentine style and the rooms are furnished with particular elegance. Having the Conad supermarket across the street was very convenient. They had everything and good cured meats, snacks and wine. Very nice to have our the kitchen for our morning espresso and mid-afternoon antipasta and vino. Communication with Tomaso and Sibilla was easy. Sibilla met us at the apartment and showed us around. The high ceilings made the entire apt feel spacious even though it’s not a small place to begin with. There’s a kitchen that has everything except kitchen towels and mittens, but we made it work regardless. This is the place that you want to stay in Florence. I pinched myself every time I walked down the hall from the bedrooms to the living room to the views of the Ponte Vecchio and the Arno River. You walk out of the building, and a quick walk across the bridge puts you in the heart of Florence. Every evening we listened to beautiful music being played on the bridge. Oct 7, 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Gold star apartment with Florence’s Best Virw My friend and my adult daughter stayed with me for 3 nights at Bardi Apartment near the Ponte Vecchio. Everything about this apartment was fabulous.. Just a short taxi ride from the station and a great personal check in process. Well equipped throughout including a washer and two bathrooms. Across the road a great supermarket and friendly neighbourhood cafe/ bar. It was such a pleasure to come home every night and sit at the window and watch the Ponte Vecchio. Jan 10, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Spacious Quiet Ideal location This gem is located right at the base of Pointe Vecchio, with a beautiful view of the river. Yet it was quiet. The beds were comfortable. Tomaso allowed us to check in early, which we really appreciated. The kitchen was great and allowed us to eat in when we wanted to. There were a few improvements that should be made to the kitchen: the microwave did not work, and the tea water heater only worked if you kept your finger on the button. It would have been really nice to have at least one towel for the kitchen, and some extra bags for the trash, especially since the property manager expressed that the garbage should be taken out often. You can easily walk to all the main sites in Florence's historic centre and there are ice cream parlours, cafes, restaurants and a supermarket just minutes from the front door. The apartment itself is very spacious and beautiful - we didn't want to leave. My only slightly negative comment is that we could not work out what to do with the rubbish! Although there is information about how to separate it (which we did) you are then supposed to take it on a daily basis to large underground bins. There is a map showing the location of the bins around the city but there did not seem to be any near the apartment and we didn't really want to be walking round sightseeing with bags of rubbish in the hope of spotting the bins. The only underground places we saw were car parks, not bins, so perhaps some instructions about exactly where to find the nearest bins would help future guests. ##### Keith D.
