This stunning rental apartment is located only a few steps away from the beautiful and historic Palazzo Vecchio and the wonderful Duomo, on the third floor of an elegant building set in Via dei Tavolini, charming side street of the famous Via dei Calzaiuoli. The whole place was recently renovated and redecorated combining contemporary style features with traditional elements, such as parquet flooring and the original stunning wooden decorated paneled ceilings. Entering the apartment you'll find the loft - living area, with two large windows providing lots of natural light and a wonderful view overlooking Orsanmichele, the one of a kind church that was once a barn. The living room consists of a comfortable sitting area with flat screen TV, a large wooden dining table and, on the left as you enter, a tiny but fully equipped and welcoming kitchen. The loft was gorgeous, but not recommended for anyone too tall - my girls are 5’5” and still bumped their heads. Only downside was nothing to do with the apartment, but the noise in central Florence through the night by groups of young men. It is a great location If you are looking to be close to all the sites in Florence. It can be noisy at night due to its central location but for a few nights was not a big deal for us. It is also conveniently right next to one of the best Gelato shops we tried. There is no elevator so be prepared to carry your luggage up a few flights of stairs. My family and I loved it! Maya was great at check in, got us settled and answered all our questions. Building is right across from the best breakfast deal for four people. Location is great! Everything is walkable- grocery, sights, train station. Apartment itself was clean and wonderful to return home to after seeing town.
