"Due to delayed flights, I arrived at 02:20 hours but was greeted by a warm and friendly lady on reception who completed the check-in in a friendly manner and offered a hot drink. I had booked a standard room ideally with a sea view. That was not possible as the hotel was full however she advised me to return at 1200 the following day and they would try and upgrade. My twin standard on the 5th floor was perfectly adequate but just looked straight across the street at windows opposite so not really possible to open the net curtains and just a rooftop view. The bed and bathroom was comfortable. I spoke to reception the next day and was upgraded to a superior room on the 6th floor overlooking the harbour and Aksla which was delightful! The climate control in the room was very effective and responsive. The room itself was spacious with comfortable beds and pillows. "Great location and superb views from our room and the dining room. Lots of information about the island available in English in the room, the library and the host on check in. Good breakfast. No evening meal available as the chef had run away to sea which meant a twenty mile round trip to eat in the evening. There was also an issue with the front door key not working properly "
