Nestled deep in the woods on a private 22-acre property near Lake Palestine, this cabin offers peaceful seclusion while remaining close to local conveniences and attractions. The highlight of the stay is the PRIVATE HOT TUB located right on the porch, perfect for soaking under the stars in total privacy. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply looking to unplug and reconnect, this cabin is ideal for a romantic lake cabin getaway in Texas. The Cabin The cabin features a warm, intimate layout with a full kitchen, cozy living area, and an open loft bedroom with a king bed, accessed by a steep staircase. ⚠️ Important: The loft and stairs are \*not recommended for guests with mobility issues, small children, or anyone uncomfortable climbing steep stairs or ladders. A full-size sleeper sofa with extra linens is also available. While the cabin can accommodate a small family, it is best suited for couples and romantic escapes, as the space is compact for more than two adults. Expect wildlife, wildflowers, and seasonal changes. You may encounter bugs, spiders, poison ivy, chiggers (May–August), snakes, deer, rabbits, foxes, raccoons, bobcats, roadrunners, and other native wildlife. We are committed to preserving the natural Texas ecosystem through organic land practices and minimal chemical use. During growing seasons, parts of the property may appear wild or overgrown — this is intentional and part of the experience. 🦅 Bald Eagles are frequently seen in the fall and winter, offering a rare and memorable sight for nature lovers. Hosts on Property We live on the same private 22-acre property in the original farmhouse and may be seen tending gardens or maintaining the land. It rained for most of our stay, but we made the most of it hanging out on the front porch under the trees and watching movies late into the night. The bed was amazingly comfortable! The only thing we wish we could have done was go down to the water and enjoy the day. The path to the water was overgrown and we were unable to walk it. The property is beautiful and has plenty of room to cook outside and enjoy a campfire. The porch is a peaceful place for morning coffee and breakfast. We enjoyed the lake view and walking trails. Flawless check in, and great communication… I had reached out before to our host the day before we arrived to explain that the hot tub and fishing from the end of the trail next to the cabin, were the goal for my girlfriend and I. The hot tub was great, clean, and as it should be…. The trail to the water…. Over grown and not walkable with rods and bags, not walkable at all… The trail had grown across itself and was just a habitat for spiders/webs and all kinds of “surprises”.I’m not a city guy, grew up in the country, and so did my girl… but it was not something we were comfortable tackling. We drove to the public points of the lake, but there was no room to fish as others had the same idea! We gave up 3 hours later… We did look around the other side of the road to our cabin and see another trail that led to the water’s edge, well kept, easy to walk and well looked after… once at the water’s edge there were small jetty’s which looked amazing, but they were private to the other vacation cabins there, not to us.You expect some bugs and what have you… we had our fair share on the ceilings in the cabin, and that’s fine, it is the country! The cabin was nicely laid out, and well presented… but could benefit from a deep clean, but our primary goal was rent this place and use it for fishing…was a waste of our time. 4 hours there and back for us, plus shopping and bait the day before we left, we had a wasted weekend. ##### Chris S.
