The location was absolutely perfect- just 15 minutes to both Stanthorpe and Girraween National Park, and only 5–7 minutes from our favourite vineyards like Savina Lane, Tobin’s, and Ballandean.The accommodation itself was cosy and welcoming the ideal spot to switch off and unwind. We didn’t even use the internet, preferring to enjoy being off-grid and truly reconnecting with each other and nature.We’ll definitely be back again next year. This property is smack bang in the middle of Stanthorpe and Girraween. We enjoyed its location. Wineries are close by. Refreshing to have noticed that explain about the septic system and its use and none of the long list of don’ts that now seem to populate properties. Our favourite memory is sitting outside on the deck watching the sunset while sipping delicious regional wine and enjoying our dog's joy at watching the geese, chickens and wallabies from her perch. Enjoyed a long walk through lovely parklands & went to some lovely shops. Unfortunately we had rain for a couple of days, but we were able to relax & enjoy a peaceful holiday. The house is in a peaceful, beautiful setting on a property shared by a couple of good-natured geese and some chickens, and having fresh eggs was a bonus. The large kitchen is well equipped and enabled us to cook a 3 course Christmas dinner for the family, which we enjoyed on the wrap-around verandah. Russell and Elisabeth are considerate hosts and they have put thought into this property to ensure it is homely.
